How about sprues of the double barreled shotguns? There is a real lack of shotguns for modifying other figures.

I would suggest that all of the above suggestions would be useful, but some may already be produced elsewhere (jerrycans, for instance).

As for with/without hands on weapons, I think you will find opinion split.
WITH hands makes for easy conversion, whereas WITHOUT allows a weapon to be slung or even holstered....choices, choices.

Civilian types without firearms would be a serious bonus too.

I dont think that you can go wrong with dogs of either friend or foe variety.
People will always find uses for them.

Children is an excellent idea.
I am working on a Zombie Survivor project myself (planning/acquiring stage at the moment) and the children are proving the most difficult. I have a few, and am even considering converting some Hobbits, but not many around.
Of course, I have decided to make it more difficult by setting it in the 1920's, so that just compounds my difficulties....

The greens look great - really useful for "Metro 2033" and "Stalker" type games as well.

As mentioned there is good supply of military, ganger and biker types already.

The name of your rules really intrigues me - I assume that wiping out your opponent will not be the only aim of the game. More like steal his stuff, protect your own  and escape off the board alive. Very refreshing.

A scruffy looking half-starved dog pack would be a great idea for many genres. Not all rottweilers and dobermans either, but some bloke's poodle gone medieval.

Some armed kids would be great. More teenage kids with bats or crossbows/bows might be an idea. I love Charlie Higson's The Enemy series its upto book 4 and I can't wait for the final book to come out.

Crossbows and bows would be great on some survivors as well, not necessarily just kds.

Double barrel shotguns: with hands attached or without?

Depends. I'd almost say both. I'd suggest without to begin with and then if there is enough interest with later on. Although traditional shotguns would be good with a firing hand already in place because they don't all have the pistol grip approach which makes them harder to convert.

Dogs: chasing, snarling and biting or man's best friend?

Snarling and biting, perhaps even a pose that could double as straining against a leash?

Objective markers: first aid kit, crate of whisky, pallet of tinned goods, jerry can of petrol, etc?

As others have said, go for something a little more unique. Gerry cans and crates are available all over the place. Perhaps do dropped backpacks/holdalls and discarded luggage. I like the crate of booze idea and pallet of tinned goods along with the first aid kit.

Other things that spring to mind are casualties and maybe a few children survivors for the adults to protect?

Casualties are always good. A couple of kids or less combatant type survivors would be cool too.
