You wouldn't believe the hoops you have to jump through to actually get a firearms certificate... police approved gun safe, separate ammunition storage, alarm, police inspection of the property... having a certificate per weapon, which has to specify what it will be used for. Theoretically if you acquired a weapon to shoot deer and then shoot a rabbit with it, then technically you are committing an offence.

Every time someone gets shot in the UK it makes national news. We're a little strict on these things.  ;)

Oh i will be the first to admitted that we are gun crazy over here. My dad is a gunsmith, so I grew up with it. Hunting, shooting and all of that since I was a kid.
I moved to LA, a few months ago and there is a shooting like ever other day in this town. Not much of a fan. I mean yeah its usually criminals killing each other, but I honestly felt safer daring my time in Iraq and Afghanistan. lol

And I like were you are going there Silent Invader, never discount the old school revolvers.

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

@Silent Invader - with a reduced population, the numbers will increase, plus there would be 'government' weapons up for grabs. Your scavengers would be those in a community who would be more gunned up than the norm too... so a few guns wouldn't be the end of the world.

;)

@Commissar - To be fair, the whole gun thing in the U.S. started with protecting you from us, so we can't really point the finger.

:)

Oddly enough, our shootings tend to be more bizarro. We have some gang shootings, but the bulk tend to be 'husband/man shoots wife/wife's lover/business partner/bank manager/person who never speaks to them at the bus stop, sort of stuff. Our bank robbers still favour sawn-off shot guns, having discovered that people invariably won't 'have a go' against them, but will 'chance it' against a pistol. Culturally the weapon of fear here is the sawn-off shotgun.

I hear you there, i have a pump action 12 gauge for home defense.
kind of along the lines if some one does break in. The sound of me ratcheting a round into the chamber should be pretty distinct. So hopefully they will make a break for the door instead of sticking around.
Lots of folks don't really know much about guns aside from the fact that they put holes in things. But most people do know that a shot gun leaves a big hole and has a wide spread.

While they all look great, the shotgun is my favourite too.

These chaps would work really well for a modern day tramp freighter crew or even mountaineers or the like.

Thanks Mark.  :)

Still trying to find a caster - now that I have a good handful of greens to show I'll be searching one out this week.  I have a couple in mind.

Try Stewart Griffin, (yes i get the unintential family guy ref) Griffin casting.Or Pete over at TAG

Si at pig iron uses Griffin, they come highly recommended.

Just had full size images of the 8 males come through from Adam the sculptor, but at the mo I can only view them on my phone. Darn!  Still, looking good....  :D

Big pics to be posted ASAP

To recap, this means the greens will be in for all 12 men with just the 4 girlies to come.

Oh, and there's still the conversion and accessories to sort though that's kind of held up until I sort a caster and know how much mould space there'll be.

Sounds awesome mate.
