OK, based on your knowledge what would be the best size of gameboard for presenting SSS to people?

I'm ditching the idea of a mat and maybe going for a construct.

I had a look through your rules today and a browse on the minis, very nice stuff altogether I must say  . One little thing though that bugged me a bit, there are modifiers to all kinds of weapons, even unarmed, but what about the humble knife? In an age where everyone are supposed to carry one (because it's such an important tool) you'd suppose that someone would rather use the blade than their fists. I don't wish to spark off a long debate, but a knife is accessible, takes no skill to use and is a very dangerous weapon up close in anyone's hands. Maybe a +1 modifier in any case?

So, if I read your previous posts correctly, the mat is a fleece blanket painted with house paint and then gloss varnished for more of an icy effect?  I can't see the gloss in the pics,  but the texture looks very good.  It looks to me as if the same process could be used with a sand color to get a desert/wasteland mat  (something I've been thinking about trying to create).
