Nice work on some old classics.

I love how the skeletons of this range were so distinctive due to the shape of those eye sockets.
Very sinister!

Hi Suber, thanks for the comments, I was over at your blog and read the Oldhammer 40k skirmish, I love the old space marine sculpts. I never painted Sci Fi, you are making me want to try some.

Thanks Mason, the eye orbits were a very innovative idea, made those old school skeletons look really mean.

Thanks guys,
 Damien

Thanks, Damien! I could almost say the same, I did some WH Fantasy long time ago, but it's been ages since I don't put my hands on that, but I find your works inspiring. Maybe sometime soon...

Really like the dwarf - simple and clean colour scheme. And I love how fluffy his beard looks!

The skeletons are very amusing as well. Good job!  :)

Thanks DeafNals, I find bone a lot of fun to paint, in fact I have an entire undead army painted that I still haven't photographed; I'll do so sometime soon.

Hello Princess and welcome to my thread! Thanks for the feedback, I really like painting the vertically impaired, they are cool little guys to paint, same goes for skeletons as well. Now keep painting those frogs (my girlfriend wants to buy some now too).

Thanks again Suber, I can see you painting a cool Old School Citadel fighter/knight, I say you dig one out and have a go.

Cheers guys,
 Damien

I love them too! I have some old 3rd edition Warhammer dwarf units on the waiting list, but I also have the newer GW dwarf army too! Also keen to paint some of the LAM dwarves, which I find more intricately detailed and just love the different look from the GW minis. So I totally get your enthusiasm!

Haha I knew those froggies were going to catch on! I told Nic (from Eureka) that they are a very good girl's range. You should show your girlfriend the teddies too - very nifty. Pirates, Cowboys, Romans ... I've got some from a couple of the teddy ranges! But in the meantime, I have to finish the rest of the frog troops and then move onto the king and also the cannon!

Nice job on the skellies Damien! They are indeed quick to paint up, they saved me from being a no-show in one of the rounds of the last LPL.

BTW, do you remember where you can get the old Metal Magic dwarfs from nowadays? John @ Mega sold the molds off so they no longer stock them (only the Olley dwarfs). I need me some Ochmann stunties! =)

Excellent as usual my friend!  Oh, and I'm a sucker for pointing figures.  They have a certain commanding gravitas.

Hello Painting Princess, paint up (and post) some 3rd edition dwarves, I think they are everyones favourites (certainly mine). As per the teddies, its bad enough I have to get her some frogs now. Thanks for the comments I appreciate them.

Hi phreedh, thanks for the comments, I forgot about Midlam minis, I was looking on ebay for some more but couldn't find the one I wanted. I'll check them out (too bad about Mega minis selling the molds).

Hey Faust! That pointer is definitely the bossy type, I wanted to find some skeletal dogs for him, I think he would look cool with a couple of dogs in front of him (no one steal that idea!  ;)).

Hi Pil, you are right, the crewmen are great little sculpts, especially that little pile of skulls that came with them and the catapult (I'll have to paint that one day).

Thanks again for all the positive comments guys (and gal),
 Damien

Haha oops!  lol

Re: dwarves - I will certainly post some up when I get around to painting them. Probably one of the next projects I will do. It will be a bit of a ramshackle army though, as I've got a bunch of dwarf units but also Skarloc's elf scouts and a couple of other odd figures. It'll be an interesting bunch :)

That 'ramshackle army' sounds pretty cool to me; post them up whenever you get the chance to paint them.

Haha oops!  lol

Stop laughing at my pain, I'll end up having to paint those little critters up for her (they are kind of cute though  ::)).

Cheers,
 Damien
