Just depends on when I get the time.  It's a bit frustrating having it all in my head...and yet it takes so long to put on paper!  It'd have been easier if I had just done a Microsoft Word file or something...but making the PDF images is time consuming, not to mention if I change my mind I can't edit...but have to essentially re-do the pages.  I've redone just about every page I've put together 2-3 times.

 lol

Currently sitting at 14 pages, with many more to go.  I'm getting into the meat and potatoes though, so - we'll see.

Update... :-[

Having significant computer problems.  May end up being delayed a bit if my system crashes.  May have to order some new stuff to get it running.  Hope it's not the case, my only other computer access is a netbook which can't handle much.  Files have been saved to duplicate external hard drives - but...may be a short stumbling block.  :?  Here's hoping it's not the case.

Capt,

I ran one game against a fella, and then a hectic game of 6 which started at about 11 o'clock tonight!  I guess I didn't get to run into ya.  I was hanging out at the next table over, at the Gnome Wars game for a while.

I also got a game in Friday but it was...less than fantastic (the players were teens who had no attention span, but luckily quit halfway through the game!)  lol

I tried...

My daughter and I got there at about 12:00 Saturday and intended to stay for just a couple hours so we could get home, take care of the new puppy, feed horses and other critters, and then head back down to Gnomecon for 18:00.  Instead, she started playing Gnome wars and was having such a great time we didn't leave until after 16:00.   BY the time we got home and cleaned up after the puppy and got all the critters fed it was way too late for me to head back there...

Mike Baker said your set up looked great and chuckled as he described your Friday night game.   I told him to tell you I was sorry I was gonna miss the Saturday evening game.  I REALLY wanted to see how the rules played and get some Wild West gaming in...   Seems life never goes as intended.    lol

Glad Saturday went better than Friday for you.

If you're going to be playing/running a game in the area again, let me know and I'll try hard to link up.

Jake

Hey no worries, Brian and his gal (Gnome Wars) are the folks I hang out with at cons normally.  They've played SnS numerous times --- I actually showed up at GnomeCon around 1800 on Saturday, ran a game --- then played some Gnome Wars (played a bit Friday too!) and then we played SnS again late that night.

No worries.  I'm stupid and didn't take any pictures (except one!).  I saw some people snapping photos, but I never find them online, so who knows.

The later game was run with 6 players (3 per side) doing a Horse Thief scenario...it was mayhem.  I'm afraid to admit that almost every horse was shot to death...I think the 18 characters was a bit much.  Perhaps with seasoned players it would work, but I really think 6-8 models per side is about as far as you'd want to push it.  We also ran four special cards per turn for Outlaws and Lawmen...which made it extra-hectic (on purpose).

For cons, I'll probably stick to four players.  It was utter mayhem, on a cluttered table.

A late shot of the game in progress...

Hey guys, I'm going to be slowing down a little bit on the pdf...I have a group of gamers who'd like to proof-read my stuff, so I'm going to do a quick n' dirty Microsoft Word file for proof-reading.

If anyone is interested in helping, just PM me your email address.  Once the rules are polished I'll convert them all to the prettier/neater PDF style.

Also, more good/bad news.  I've found I can get the Gamecrafter price down a good bit on the SnS decks, so I may not have to bother with a kickstarter (it would essentially be for cards/dice/token and some cost savings if I did).  So...I'd say 95% of my cards are complete, so this could be on sale via Gamecrafter pretty soon!  (here's hopin.)

Also fixed my computer (so far...) only took $240 worth of gubbins.  :-[

Great eye-candy on that table. Your photography splendid and the figures are well done. I'd be interested in these rules as a solo gamer.

Managed a game today with board-member Froggy.  A simple 6v6 Horse Thief scenario.  It started off a little slow...then went nuts.  I thought I had the game in the bag at the end of turn two...and then everything went sideways.

First outing for three of the new DMH buildings...(others under construction)

A Hired Gun sat in the Barber Shop most of the game, gunning wildly at anything that came in range.

A ridiculous gunfight and bloodbath erupts 13" from the table edge that the Outlaws need to exit with three horses...

One of the Townspersons on the Outlaws side...who struggled to run all game...then stole a horse...then rode like hell...then was gunned down and put out of action...who then came back....and then grabbed three horses and almost escaped with them!

Highlights:
-One of my Hired Guns fired...no less than 12 shots (six activations of shooting!) at one damn enemy...and despite a 50% chance per shot - MISSED all of them.
-Froggy was using the "Crazy" who has a 20% chance of not activating...he did this three times in a row!
-A wounded Cowboy demanded a Showdown with one of the fleeing Outlaw Soldiers.  Despite being wounded and a much worse shot...he managed to gun down the Soldier, effectively saving the game.
-A Pinkerton was blown to pieces by a stick of dynamite thrown by a Bounty Hunter who had injured himself by diving through a window onto a porch awning...
-The Bandit killed a Lawmen Indian Scout with a single shot of the Buffalo Gun, ending his game early.
-Using two Cowboys I spent a lot of time lasso-ing Outlaws...trying to keep them from moving off the board.

My MVP goes to "Gordo" the fat Mexican Townsperson who had an incredible game...he couldn't run to save his life...but boy could he ride a horse!

As I said, I'd be happy to help test things out, but I'm still waiting for my cowboys!

Alas poor Gordo...this was probably for the best.

To elaborate a bit on Senor "Gordo".

Froggy drew a Townsperson armed with a shotgun.  I selected the overweight Mexican for this task.  While running on foot he managed to roll 1's and 2's on his D6 (meaning he was running...barely...).  Upon stealing a horse, and rolling a D8 while running...he started rolling 7's or 8's - hauling significant amounts of ass.  A Hired Gun shot him dead off his horse as he galloped by.  Shortly after, Froggy drew the only "revive" card in his special deck.  "Gordo" hopped back up, got on his horse than galloped over and grabbed the reigns of the other two horses (Outlaws need 3 horses to win the scenario).  He was literally 12" from the edge of the board (an easy gallop with all the horses in tow).

Luckily for me...he was shot dead again (by the same Hired Gun..who could have sworn he shot a similar looking fellow a few minutes ago!).  Townspeople normally suck.  They have no real fighting ability and are normally cannon fodder.  But not Senor "Gordo"...the surprise hero this game.  :D
