You're putting together some amazing terrain!

Check out some google images for Grytviken the abandoned whaling station.

Some great stuff you could shoehorn into your scenery making.

Phenomenal!  This is a great thread for effects and inspiring stuff.
Thank you :)
Cracking! As for the boats? Too difficult to choose,I like of them, for one reason or another :)
I might just have to go for a second wood one, and then decide :) Still in the "Build terrain" mode though, so we'll see when I drag myself through the emot
Lovely stuff, great project all in all.

I think you should put S-363 on your to-do-list ;)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_submarine_S-363
onal experience of building boats ;)
Thank you Poco! The Sov sub, and invading force of vile communists trying to destroy the caviar factory, is already in the pipe line of stuff that needs to be done :)
I might put a list up!

Don't worry Paul :) It's the third-fourth thing I'll do actually. First need to do one big island so I can familiarize myself how much the mdf will warp with all glue and fillers. Then I'll start on the the haunted light house with the silly cult of Masons ;)

Excellent to hear Silversixx! I take it that the vile communists want to destroy their competitors in caviar business :D But what's the motive of the evil, erm, silly Masons to operate on the island... besides their leaders eternal wish of world domination? :D

Oh it's simple. The island they posses is named "Blighty", and they believe that possesing it, and the lightouse and a scrawny boat will ensure world domination. And it might as well! Because Glenn-Paul, the cult leader, has discovered an ancient tomb while rummaging through the ruins of Hisingen (that's the first part struck by the metorite), in which there are rituals and commands to summon forth the most evil of evil. Or something like that. The background for the edge characters are a bit unworked. But I want to keep some bad humour during the whole thing. For example, there will be a massive battle for the pickled herring factory and the recipe held there which one part believes can cure all diseases, the other wishes to destroy to maintain market lead and the third wishes to obtain to pickle human flesh. There's also a German tourist that got lost during the meteor and now all the sudden, after having bought up all the moose poo on jar and moose signs, have turned spooky and has been seen collecting mechanical parts. There's the invasion of the Danish north fishing fleet, invading the outer rim of the archipelago where the famous "Black Coats" still resides (a very very conservative christian cult). Icebergs full of devious mutant penguins and much much more :)

The first scenario will be for the Utbults to take their Crab Tennis wonderboy Glenn-Björn to the Saltholmen Open. However, the Inhults really wishes to stop them so their wonderboy Glenn-John can dominate the tournament...
Your zodiac will be sent out on monday with the other figs for postage. Good hunting with it.
Thank you Scurvey! Your package will be dropped in the mailbox tonight :)

Haha  lol Great background story, full of amazing scenario ideas :) If you make that ferry, I hope you make it to be a lost mini Finland-färjan with some booze-thirsty knife-toting Finns aboard it ;)

Well, there's enough knife weilding Finns on Hisingen, working for Volvo or SKF, so I don't need the ferry. Had some plans for the Finns, but that's based on knifes, booze and a bad temper (and funny accent!), I haven't explored the subject that much :)

Silversixx: Two of my colleagues have asked the same question after reading your background story: What are you smoking whilst writing this?

Mason: I think he has "just" been eating surströmming :D

Silversixx: Funny accent... Finnish Swedes speak truer (as in older) form of Swedish ;) But Finnish Finns speak horrible Swedish, I know. Should have been more interested in school :) And most of us speak proper Häkkinen-English as well  lol

There are no such a thing as crazy norwegians. Unless you count there sex censorship department in which 20 people work day in and out with putting black sticker dots on Swedish porn mags. After all, we're talking about a country that still has morning prayers in school.
But maybe some Oil scenario. But that needs a rig, and that's a massive undertaking.

The same as the Crazy Viking! Or maybe, I've been influensed a lot by his love for putting crazy stuff in his scenario and found the perfect outlet to get all those ideas in one place.

No surströmming for me, thankfully. That's an north eastern tradition and I'd rather avoid it. The prospect of fermented rotten fish doesn't tickle my taste spuds...

Well, I know one person from Finland who speaks Swedish without a hitch. There are some ancient phrases in there somewhere :)

Zombies in floaties! God I LOVE it! Thanks for a rich belly laugh first thing in the morning. Also the first time in my life I have EVER called a zombie cute.
Thank you Steve! :) They're the infamous Zombouys after all ;) Planning to do a couple of more, together with some classic water debris, for example the big pieces of up turned water plants that floats around when someone has gone to shallow or has an anchor that pulls too deep and rips the bottom. But these will of course be man eating and all such!

Thank you Guy :) I'm actually planning/writing a novella at the moment. Not set in the crazy archipelago, but in modern time in an area that I live. Some vicious cults, sex addicted old folks, cursed waters and an avatar of Dagon. Really strange at the moment, and it's extremely Swedish as the story starts with a fight over time bookings in the laundry room...
