Ugh, kickstarter... Well, see y'all in June when we see how things come to fruition. Just don't have enough faith in digital sculpting to throw dollars or pounds behind the venture. One of those things that it's completely failed to entice me to potentially convert from using my old miniatures and grab up new ones. As I said awhile back, I'm officially one sad panda today as the BIG!!! announcement wasn't so big to me. Wish Prodos the best of luck on reviving the game for a third or fourth time but my cash will stay firmly roosted in my pocket until they have some real product that I can scrutinize.

Sweet. Four pay days away, that should build the account up before you knock it back down.

Renders are nice but if the final Quality looks like this, then i'm definitely sticking with my old Minis
Well, they do have a certain number of anatomical oddities, such as the classic "ham fists bigger than my head". And yes, I noticed their hands are mechanical but it still doesn't look very good to me. Detailing is about how I expected tho I might be tempted to assume the light base coating isn't flattering them.

They come to about £3.17 per mini at "Kickstarter" pledge level (the name of which is surely to be a source of confusion in on the 'net :P), disregarding the large model included so they aren't super cheap either.

All the same, they'd go well aesthetically with my Zvezda Star Troopers so I'm still tempted. Luckily I can sleep on it a couple of weeks since it's a long-running KS 8)

Oh yeah, another KS! Well - despite my general dislike of KS I might pledge for a Brotherhood force.  8)
I love the renders and most prototype prints look good enough!  ;)

Otherwise...

I know they are just concept sketches but just too far from the original concept art for my, and I suspect a fair few other folks liking...

Have to agree here, IMO not a good move to show these very early sketches.  :?

Renders are nice but if the final Quality looks like this, then i'm definitely sticking with my old Minis  :?
I would not go that far, but I really can't understand why not wait a week more and show some painted examples decently photographed.
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

Seems to be a quick turn around for a kick starter

I'm glad to see some positive responses, it's being very successful so far.

For those of you that don't 'do' kickstarter, that's fine. It will be great to see the product supported in FLGS, but remember that they will only be plastic if Prodos hits that £70,000 marker! :D

Question: What type of plastic are you aiming for if the stretch goal is hit?

PLEASE don't use the plastic resin (restic) that Privateer Press and Mantic Games use, because it's terrible stuff! I'd rather have resin miniatures or styrene miniatures which are slightly more expensive than miniatures made with restic. Cleaning restic is such a horrible process, it will kill the fun in assembling these miniatures.

I keep my questions :

Is a french version of the ruleset is planned ?

Concerning old version compatibility : do you plan to make the unit cards available separatly ? So I can use my old minis with new rules ?

thanks

May I suggest that you also open threads announcing the KS on EnWorld and RPG.net? :)

Edit: And TMP! And of course TGN is it hasn't been submitted yet

Renders look decent -  I'm trusting better shots are coming soon - but there's certainly more substance for the campaign than that "Gates of Antares" thing. I'm going to wait for actual product though. I'm KS'd out at the moment, after Sedition Wars and Bug Hunt Corridors.

My only wish is that they were metal.  Metal-snob that I am.

Ah you old timer...  ;) ;)
For me metal would be also welcome. I just like the heavy feel when placing a metal mini on the table!
Plastic is not a real additional value to me!

Yes - the 'weight', exactly. Guess I have been doing this a long time.

Does this mean I'll end up a geezer-gamer talking about the good ol' days when minis had HEFT. "Heft, dagnabit. Not like this newfangled sissy restic/plesin. Why back in my day, we had metal vehicle models you could stun a horse with. grumble grumble."

Me too, definitly. In France, we doesn't say "old fashioned", we say "vieux con"  lol (try to translate this one  lol).

The only plastic/resin figs I have are dungeon and dragons minis and heroclix.

Concerning warzone, as I said I will probably complete my old v1 metal collection than replace it with plastic/resin.
