Wasn't I-Kore made up with some ex-target games people?
I-kore tried to do the GW model, whether that is why they folded, I do not know...

That may be so - the Void universe has some uncanny similarities to the MC universe. Many of the minis such as the early VASA and the Synth could easily be proxied into MC, too. I have a gaming buddy who purchased a Synth set from Urban Mammoth to use as Cybertronics.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

I'm pretty sure that Kev White sculpted for Target Games towards the end, and he did all the I-Kore stuff too.

But yeah, I played Void 1.1, had a Junkers army. I quite liked it. You can still get it, but I don't know anyone that would play it anymore.  :(

Besides, I'm well into this new version of Warzone. I can't wait for people to try it out for themselves, the rules are really, really cool. :)

A couple of additions to Malebolgia's post.

The Mutant RPG:s:

v1. Mutant - Post-apoc Scandinavia around AD 2500, with lots of mutated animals, sentient robots and stuff in a more or less civilized Mad Max setting with plenty of forbidden zones. The first version came out in 1994. The game was shamelessly inspired by Gamma World.

v2. Mutant 2089 - A cyber punk version at the end of the 21st century, with big corporations replacing nations. Published in 1989.

v3. Mutant R.Y.M.D. (Mutant Space) - an intermediary game developed quickly to establish what was to become the actual Mutant Chronicles RPG. Published in 1992.

v4. Mutant Chronicles - 1993.

The boardgames:

Siege of the Citadel - this was actually the game that set everything in motion. 1993

Blood Berets - a sort of pre study for Warzone. 1993

Fury of the Clansmen - designed to be fully compatible with Siege of the Citadel. 1994

The cardgames:

Doomtrooper and Dark Eden. Doomtrooper was published in 14 languages and used the artwork from both Warzone and Mutant Chronicles. Fun bit of trivia: the Doomtrooper cards had circular images and the graphic department at Target Games had little cutouts of circles in different sizes, which they used to check the large paintings from Bonner, Parente and others for usable details for the cards. Some of the big paintings yielded about a dozen different card images. At this time I was a freelancer for Target, mosly working on translations and other miscellaneous stuff until the company folded. During the later years I was mostly involved with the card games, as I published a card gaming magazine between 1994 and 1997.

The universe is actually much more @ Kryomek than @ Warzone. The aesthetic, especially that introduced by Urban Mammoth later on, is perhaps more Warzon-ey than Kryomek-y tho.

One rumour even has it that VOID was originally meant to be Kryomek mk 2 but this was probably stymied by the convoluted rights issues of that particular game. One of, or maybe even both, Johns (Grant & Robertson) was/were involved with Kryo however at one time, just as they were with Wz. But then, another rumour has it that "the resculpt cycle for Warzone became the start of VOID just as the resculpt cycle for Chronopia became Celtos", somewhat corroporated by Kev White working on both lines at around the same time. So there is probably some heritage of both Wz and Kryo in VOID and Urban War.

Hi guys, Prodos successfully reached £35,000 today. They express their eternal gratitude to all the awesome fans out there that have pledged.

Here is what the Bauhaus starter pack is going to look like (pre-3d, which is coming soon!):

Keep the pledges and suggestions coming. Don't forget to recommend to your mates and pledge early. Remember that certain things will only come out and get done in the way you want if certain targets are reached. By reaching £35k, Prodos are also giving everyone 1 LTD edition card pack PER starter box they have pledged for!

 ;D

I hope some cool short stories will be included like in 1st edition, I loved "Sgt. Carter" about that Capitol Free Marine sergeant who teams up with another squad and Kane the Inquisitor for a patrol through the Dark Legion-infested jungles of Venus... classic stuff :)

Or the Mishima scout on his Dragonbike who treks across an underground lake on Mercury only to find a pirate ship full of undead legionnaires lurking in the darkness. Scary!
