Yahooooh!!!

I love Warzone. I ues to play Cybertronic  o_o but have them all. (Including all the plastics) They are all unpainted! I haven't got companions who play it, so I would sell if I get a (few) good offers  ;) Yoy can send me a PM if you have any interest. The new ones look expencieve. They are all resin so the quality is unknown too. Still I would collect some if the price is right  ;D

yeah. I'm quite disappointed with the bauhaus hero choice... I'd prefer a male super warrior, but I know she's a classic :)
Great approval for the rest! How long we have to wait to see some bauhaus 3d renders? I'm eagerly awaiting for a venusian ranger upgrade!  :P

I've spoken to Jarek, and hopefully not long. He wants them to look good for you lot! :)

Anywho, here's the alternate 'Everasseur'.

Hmmm... what happened to the Fury Elite Guards?

I'm not overly thrilled by the direction this is going. I was a big fan of the original MC and Warzone universe, and the imagery/concepts that initially came with the RPG, plus, for a war game I really prefer miniatures with not quite so exaggerated/dynamic poses. They are fine for dioramas and photo set-ups, but tend to look weird on the table, especially when they are big.

Sorry, it just not gives me the right gut-feeling.  :?

Just out of interest why are there three praetorian stalker a to a pack as the background always said they were wither lone creatures or paired?

They may be changing it in the new write-up, or they come with different weapons, so you can field different combos, or they simply want to make to buy another pack to be able to use all model  :)

Who says they won't be coming? The Sacred Warriors were 1st edition models and I think they are a more logical choice than the Fury Elite. The FE are supposed to be the best warriors the Brotherhood has, the best of the best...I can imagine why Prodos chooses the SW first then.

In UWZ you could already take three. But you're right, initially they came in pairs and it was justified in the fluff. But in UWZ you could pick a third as a specialist addon. Don't know what Prodos has in mind for this third.

Yup, I'm just pretty sure, that the one on the right originally was meant to be a fury, whereas the SW were then depicted in a more plain armour (more like the Valkyries), and carrying guns for ranged combat, but, according to the fluff, never wearing helmets. I know 1st or 2nd edition had the guys above done and assigned as SW, and one of the doomtrooper cards also had a helmeted warrior, so, well.... new times, new game. At least the fluff will hopefully not change as much as the 40K Rogue Trader to 2nd Ed. (I do think that universe needed an overhaul, but the MC universe was, as far as I understand, the result of a longer process).

I'm trying not to sound overly negative, but my initial love for Warzone was sparkled by it's close proximity to the RPG, and already 2nd (boxed) Ed. - though a more streamlined and balanced system, although CC was too weak - had me scratching my head over it's route away from the well-known imagery in some places, and Ultimate lost me completely because of the reworking of squad structures that made my existing armies unusable without further purchases of now unavailable or rare miniatures (and the sheer size of the rulebook).

I do want Warzone back, but I would also like it to be Mutant Chronicles Warzone, with all the cheesy pastiche and klichés I love about it. But maybe that's just me...  :)

Well, I've been hired to write a lot of the background, and I started playing the game with Blood Berets, followed by the rpg before the ttg even came out. I share your love of the original iteration so won't be making any changes not briefed by Prodos and/or Paradox (who ultimately have the final say).

Hope that helps  :)

The boardgame with the squatting BBs  lol

I have 3 different MC boardgames, and the miniatures were of extremely varied quality; Fury of the Clansmen had Wolfbanes easily matching Warzone minis, given a decent paintjob, Siege of the Citadel had very diminutive legionnaires, and one of the other had quite decent, albeit comic-like legionnaires. The plastic necromutants, a bit on the small side, were useable, too (actually nicer than some of the metal models for Warzone in some respects).

It's nice to hear that you are an old-timer with the universe, of course. I think I'll just sit back and watch the plot unfold - you never know, maybe everything adds up to a version of the game that I'll like.  :)

Chaps,

I know this a tricky question and one probably guarded by an "NDA" but is there anything anyone can tell about game mechanics?
I love the figs, the card artwork looks great and I considering pledging well over 100.- pounds but...... rules...... anyone?

Though, when Demi paints anything, he makes it look gorgeous...
You flatterer... <blush>

As for me when I read: "Warzone is being reborn" and then saw new razide I barely crapped my pants. Really.
But after a week or two when the first shock passed I thought I'd surely like to see the razide on my desk, and maybe some more deaders from new Dark Legion but whole this 3D design ain't my hobby I guess.

I can't remember when was it last time I purchased new model, I stick to the 90's and don't want to leave that dimension :)

For Tsathoggua's sake, I sound like the king of old farts lol

You do mate, honestly, try them. I am just like you, I am filled with nostalgia. It's why I sculpt miniatures for Alternative Armies and I am not bothered they do not stand up against other modern sculpts. I do try and have a natural evolution between old and new though.

For Warzone, it needs life and energy to keep going and this is how it works best!

For the rules, they will be available Monday afternoon if everything goes as plan as a Beta Test. I am not certain if this is for Pledgers only, we will see.
