Now all we need is someone calling these sp*c* m*r*n* clones! :P

Our group pledged collectively for the Capitol level. I confess to dreading the day when I have to fill in the pledge manager questionaire... o_o

And about £300 away from funding/unlocking Mishima starter with 13 hours to go. So that's all but Imperial and the various Apostles out of the gate from the start. Happy that Mishima is coming, as i didn't think we'd make it (around £10,000 added in the last 24-36 hours).

I wasn't gonna, but my first thought was 'yay, terminator suits...  :? '

Again, nice generic sci-fi troops, but without any distinct MC-feel.

I don't think I'll be playing this one, call it nostalgia or whatever - I just see too much stuff not tapping into the original MC-imagery in a way that would make me go 'yes, Warzone!'.

But, good luck to Prodos, and let's see if they manage to create a lasting incarnation of the game - the KS has reached a good level of success, and only time will tell if Prodos can keep the momentum up.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

The Valk heads are IMO too bird like, otherwise spot on.

I think the new models looks great! And with the exeption of Cybertronic getting grittier fits the Warzone universe perfectly. Warzone has always been a weird mish mash of styles and tech and the new figures captures that feel.

Final tally £161,851. Kudos to Prodos.

The pledge calculator link send with the end-of-the-project e-mail doesn't work tho, you need to go to http://warzonegame.com/info/kickstarter.html to get it.

There is something about those helmets, otherwise they - as most other BH - are quite close to their predecessors.

Warzone has always been a weird mish mash of styles and tech....

Yes, but with a heavy 'dieselpunk' feel and tongue-in-cheek use of 'nationality/cultural clichés' and overall cohesion in spite of each faction having its own distinct look. I don't see any of this in the latest Capitol designs, they are more like a 'power-armoured gritty hi-tech far future bug-hunting' style.

Try putting a Venusian Ranger (done in the 'classic' style) beside one of the new Capitol designs, and tell me that you think someone not knowing any of them in advance would think they are from the same game/setting (apart from the Banshees now for some reason sporting skull masks instead of Mishima-style kabuki/oni masks which resembles the Ranger's helmets somewhat).

In my personal opinion, the whole range should have been either totally redesigned or all sculpts kept close to the original artwork, instead of trying to please both grumpy old-timers like me and the more forgiving type of gamer who is perfectly content as long as he/she gets some cool minis to play with. Make a plan, stick to it, and dodge the bullets.  :)

At the end of the day, the current mix of old and new styles simply puts me off, which is a shame. They could have pulled off doing a redesign with an overall higher level of tech, setting the game in a slightly later era of the universe, and I probably wouldn't have had other complaints than that I would have preferred a respawn of the original setting. Or they could have stayed with the imagery, doing nicer sculpts of everything with this or that little change.

After hemming and hawing for two months I pledged for a Cybertronic starter last night.  PLastic cyborgs are right up my street.

Have any pictures of actual models (rather than renders) of the chasseurs been seen yet?  I may have missed some.  Also, is there a weapons pack included in the starter box?  I cant remember and (like most Kickstarters) definitive information is a bit hard to find.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Can't recall seeing a mini of the new Chasseurs either. The only weapon packs I've seen mentioned are add-on items. Not at all sure if the starter sets contain multiple weapon options per trooper.

Whatever Prodos was going to do, they would have been wrong... some sections of the community would be disattisfied.

I think they have done the best they can to upgrade the range and still hint at some of the original design cues... and where appropriate, they have completely gone their own way.

I'll be getting some Bauhaus stuff (Vulkans in particular) but there are a few other bits and bobs that I would like... hopefully, I will be able to adjust my pledge in the 'wash-up' to get exactly what I want.

There are other bits that could have been done better BUT in the big scheme of things, I think this has been a very good kickstarter with just the right amount of interactive tinkering without losing the 'vision' that Prodos had for the direction they planned to steer in.

I, for one, am glad that they didn't try to reproduce the 80's style of stocky miniatures with overly massive shoulder-pads and weapons.

I agree, it is impossible to make everyone happy. In the same way there are only one or two models I actually like, most of the old artwork I like, but I prefer wayyyy more of the new stuff. A lot of the time, the older models were 'forced' into roles, for example the difference between Light and Heavy infantry for Capitol in the old versions of Warzone was minimal, where the difference in the RPG is closer to the modern differences.
