Many thanks. The pics show again that Copplestones are beautiful but much to large :(
It seems the Woodbine/GBs work best with Battle Honours? Though they lkook good next to the Brigades, too! Decisions... Top buy or not to buy?

No the pictures show that the Copplestone figures in the photos are based on taller bases than the other figures.

Thank you very much for the comparison.  I believe the figures will mix in very well with the Brigade Games Figures.  I am always looking for officersa nd characters to add to WWI Forces and these look like they fit in very nicely.  Now to get my hands on them.

Question for Helen, have you seen anywhere a reliable painting guide to Britsh artillery in the desert theatres of WW1? Did the 13/18 pdrs remain green or were they repainted? Thanks!

Pretty much all the photos I've seen including those in Mesopotamia show field guns in a darkish shade, presumably the original green, which is handy as it means you only need spare crews to change theatres.

thankyou, Carlos. I'm new to this theatre of gaming and this forum is very inspirational! Just another question: Why no buglers with the BG Yeomanry cavalry?

I got to see soapy's new greens for his Anzac and Turkish Bombers and NCO's at the weekend. Lovely stuff!  :-*
Hopefully they will be available in the next couple of weeks by the looks of it. He has also been working on the HMG's,  so soon I can start throwing my Ottoman hordes over the top!!  :)
Cheers

Hi Guys,

Thanks Carlos for providing the information.  Carbine you can look at Khaki and Grey in addition to the Bronze Green you see.

Bill, thankyou for sharing the news here about Soap's creations. Its good news for folks who love this period. Whats a few more Turks in my hundreds I've!  8)

Edit:
I've placed a link below to Soapy's blog as there are the greens for the upcoming Turks and ANZAC NCOs, bombers and other nice stuff! Thanks to Soapy  8)

Hi Carbine, You need to ask Lon why "no bugler"! It seems this was missing on all the cavalry/mounted infantry from his range.

Wow! Thanks for the link Helen.(By the way, must be great living so close to the War Memorial - what an inspiration!) Who makes, in the opinion of everyone, the best 7.7cm for the Turks? And would this be green also?
(As you may guess, I'm starting into this period with the artillery first - unlike all my others!)
Thankyou!

Woops! I just realised that of course, Krupp, would make the best 7.7 etc. etc.
I mean which 28mm model manufacturer. :D

Hi Carbine, To me the best Krupp model is Battle-Honours. Its one of their best artillery pieces alongside the British 18lb and Austrian 8cm Skoda field piece. Its also some what cheaper too.  8)

Thanks, Helen. Having seen the pictures of your Turk battery I have to agree that the BH 7.7 does look good.
Just for future reference, have you seen the BH Turkish cavalry? Are they any good?
Thanks!

Hi Carbine, Thanks! The Turkish Krupp gun is Force of Arms. I was using that model until I saw and built the Battle Honours. I prefer the Battle Honours.  8)

I've seen the Battle Honours Turkish cavalry in photos and they look nice. However, I'd need to review them before placing pen to paper.  8)

Edit: Oops, I forgot about Scott Pasha's blogger that has some photos (just scroll down a tad):

Thanks, Helen. Those Turk cavalry look better than I expected. BTW, on an earlier post noticed someone looking for Turks in German helmets. They are at this site: http://www.blazeaway.com.au/WW1.htm (which is Australian and seems to have some interesting figures).
Thankyou!
