I build a pack of the zombies and for the price they're good value I think. Certainly not as good as most lead manufacturers, but you can built a nice horde with them for relaitvely little money.

You get what you pay for :D

So are these any good? ....SNIP..... it would be awesome if they had upped the standards from previous boxed sets.

There is no comparison between the figures Wargames Factory make now and the  previous crap.
The WW2 US and German figures were very good, the Samurai and WSS Cavalry even better.  I have some of all those and think they are excellent value, especially if you are up to doing a bit of conversion work to personalise and pose change them.

no, not at all: their zombies don't have a cheaper price than any other plastic miniature on the market (well, not considerably cheaper), so even if they are meant to be used for hordes, i expect them to have a decent amount of details. Warlord games boxes have an impressive casting quality, i don't see why from another company i shouldn't expect something similar. :)

That said, they could worth that money, as long as there are no other zombies on the market, and they might be bought for that reason. But still, it's bad :(

I may be wrong but when I bought them years ago there weren't any other options fopr plastic zombie at the same price range (if at all) available... At least in Europe ;)

Cherno is correct when they came out you had a choice of GW Fantasy Zombies or Wargames Factory ones.

and still there aren't, except for studio miniatures zombies.
My point is that it doensn't give them the right to produce crappy plastic miniatures for the same price of good quality ones in other ranges. They can do this, you can buy them, but the price was not "in the market". ^^

Hold up... when did Studio release plastic zombies? How did I miss that release???

great sculpt, though only 4 bodies are a problem for anyone who doesn't want to mod them =(

they have also a rather good section of german zombies as well , but i never heard reviews about.

When I saw they sold single sprues of Nazi zombies I bought a couple to have a look.
They are some quality figures and incredibly well detailed.
In terms of size they match the Perry Miniatures plastics.

Unfortunately my camera is on the other side of the Irish Sea, so I can't provide pictures for you.

Germans from Studio Miniatures are nice and there plastic zombies are also excellent (only four bodies is a shame but you can buy them very cheaply by the sprue so its pretty)

Picture of one I painted here (my paint job and bad job of glueing together does not really do the casting justice)

There is no excuse for the old Wargames factory zombies being so badly sculpted, its slightly pointless going to the expense of plastic injection moulding figures if you don't bother getting decent master sculpts done.  ::)

I saw the early WF products and was amongst the many who described them as shite and let's be honest they were. Without wanting to restoke the flames of old management vs new imbroglio, it's fair to say they have come a long way since or at least their sculpting quality has. It's obvious they have engaged a professional sculptor at some point sincethe change in ownership.

I have bought the WF WW2 figures and was I pleasantly surprised, albeit mildly disappointed with the unusual choice of uniform combination. Perry quality, no, not quite but certainly worthy of a place on anyone's table and judging by sprue shots a lot better sculpts than the new stuff put out by the old WF crowd, the one with the spongy space marines or whatever they were.

If the female survivors look good then I will buy those and the men.  I don't even play zombie games but these look so useful.
This is my boomstick!

I think these look great. Very versatile. I can see myself making them into a bunch of survivors and a bunch of unarmed civvies.
Any indication when the ladies will arrive?
