Giant toad miniature or other funny mount?
« on: 03 May 2013, 07:04:59 AM »
Can anyone point me in the direction of a giant toad?
The ones I've seen so far are otherworld, but they are a bit expensive, megaminis, and tengu, but I'm looking for something a bit more demonic/evil looking, the heresy demonic tod is too small however, I want it to mount a smallish goblinish miniature with a saddle about 10mm across.
Or if you can think of any other funny mount for a goblin/gnome (not 100% sure what it is really) steer me that way
Thanks.

A couple of interesting options there. That moon beast is quite cool. The plague toads are a bit expensive though and I only need one. I also looked up other moon beast minis and there's another that might be an interesting alternative. Still interested in hearing other edge as as ll if anyone else has any.

Any other ideas, I'm pretty much planning on using the silliest thing, within reason, and as long as its cheap.

Never seen one in the flesh... lead... whatever... but visually interesting.  Unsure of size.

Gracias,

Glenn

Thanks Glenn.
I think I found what I'm after. It's kind of toad like a bit comical and very evil looking.
A leaping mawe from hasslefree. I may be getting a few more of these some time as well.

Silliest thing? You can't go past Thunderbolt Mountain's Noraland, Savage and Sparkle and Theoland ranges:

GRENDEL offer these

It's easy to switch the rider, when you have a dremel/proxxon and a bit of green stuff.

I once mounted a night goblin shaman on a stag beetle. The beetle was a multipart metal figure... if I remember correctly it was originally kind of a transport unit from the Demonworld 15mm range, not shure if you can get this anymore.
"I'd like to send this letter to the Prussian consulate in Siam by aeromail. Am I too late for the 4:30 autogyro?"
"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

Yes, that's it!
A normal goblin fits very well on it. For bigger riders it's maybe not "monstrous" enough. Maybe I can make a comparison picture if somebody needs it.
