I was going to make that joke! Except my version was going to be 'that doesn't look like anywhere I've seen in Cork'.

I'd like a previous comment along the same lines (photographing Sherlock Holmes and some bobbies against a cork-tile background) to be taken into consideration yer'onour...

he corkboard texture looks very good on the building.

to be honest, the photos forgive a lot and smooth the overall result...But it's OK, it's like regiment fast painting : overall result is more important than details. And this way, I'll have a complete city built in less than 1 or 2 weeks (counting working time only of course).

looking good to me. very useful for all sorts of periods and games form Gangs of New York to Supers and even near future and Zombie apoc. Worth the time spent if you ask me.

In fact I didn't spent so much time on this. That's why cork modelling is interesting.

I plan to use them in zombies and super heroes games, but I'd probably find uses for chtlulu sets too !

Hi,

I painted the buildings today, with my "famous" terracota spraycan  

The result is not good. Pencil markings are visible true the 3 coats of paint. The paint texture is almost invisible. In one word, I'll have to repaint the buildings another time, by hand, and buy a new can of paint (brush paint this time). I just lost 11euros (15usd) and a day (since they buildings smells spraypaint now...I kept them in my cellar to dry until tommorow or saturday).

BIG FAIL  

I would suggest you glue the buildings together with the markings on the inside?

They would then only be noticeable if you were using that particular room, rather than on the front of the building.

As to decorating the rooms, have you looked at doll's house wallpaper?

They do look good in any case.

It's been a while, but it's a major update, I completed painting of these 3 first buildings.

I recently completed my zombies horde, so it motivated me to work on my city again.

Yesterday, I also finished my urban solo gaming table (around 100cmx90cm, around 3feet x 3feet and inches), where the buildings are installed.


 The buildings are already playable, but I'll add some weathering (probably tonight) and later (probably next week), I'll print sticker sheets for building interiors (wallpaper and all).

I also plan to build a couple of new buildings soon (probably tommorow). I'd like to add a small supermarket/drugstore, a small central park, particularly.
