54mm WW1 project
« on: May 26, 2013, 08:57:42 PM »
Its something I've wanted to do for ages...

These are a couple of the master figures I've completed made from Green stuff, Resin, metal and plasticard.

There are 12 Brits going to the moulders in the next week or so.

Officer (only ranked as 2nd Lt but am promoting him with resculpted cuffs this weekend to a Major)

And a Tommy (the rifle sling is a separate piece still to be added)

Thought I'd share

Cheers

Adam

Superb!
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

Beautiful!  :o Can we see rest of the Brits soonish? And afterwards any plans for the opposition as well?

Very nice… but shouldn’t the bayonet be longer? It was 18" long IIRC
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Wiffwaff

Rather late picking this one up - but did the figures ever get into production, and if so, who by please?

The 2 featured are remarkably good and I do hope they were produced. I assume the end product was to be in metal not plastic?

I ask particularly because I do figure reviews for a couple of UK hobby magazines, and do not recall having seen these to review.

One little thing. Those rifles are missing their rear sights. It's a leaf sight on the MkIII, no 1 not the peep sights of it's successor. Lovely work overall though. Look forward to seeing these cast up.

As a manufacturer of our own WW1 28mm miniatures (www.scarabminiatures.com), and a stockist of several other ranges, even though its not 'our scale' I would be interested in stocking them and failing that, getting a couple anyway to paint  :D
Kind regards
