Thats a great texture you've got on the roads. Have you painted it or printed it?

Nice looking boards - will look great once the buildings/vehicles and some clutter are on them.

I had an image of some of the buildings sitting on the board and it looked a little sparse. I might have to fill in some spots with my old Armorcast stucco buildings.

I painted it. It's painted in a similar style to the bases I use for all my modern figures. That way the figure bases don't dominate the board. At least that's the idea.

I'm loving this thread.  I really like the smaller building with the HanJa/KanJi characters.  Is there a story behind the characters?  If my reading isn't too rusty I think it says Big-Sun-Seven?  A brand name perhaps?   Regardless you are going to have a beautiful set-up when finished.  My favorite is the brick building.
This is my boomstick!

In which case good sir you've done a very nice job of it.

I am loving the look that you are going for here.

Those boards and road sections should sit nicely together, and store really easily. in that format.
Clever.

New update. This time it's more buildings. These are WIP shots of two buildings I'm making. First up is a five story futuristic building. I haven't figured out what name to give it. I might be leaning toward the Ellison Building. It's been a pain in the ass, but I'm enjoying it anyway.

I've built this with access to the interior in mind. The back of the building is removed and the levels above second floor are all balconies. This should allow gamers to place figures in the building without having to set the roof off to the side. I based this on a dollhouse. It's still a bit rickety, and the top two floor haven't been put in yet. Still lots to do, but I'd say I'm half way there. I'm having to prime this in stages, to cover the floors before they get covered by next story.

The second building was put together because one night I'd run out of support plastic, but I still felt like working with plastic. It's a much simpler design then the Ellison. I've still got lots to do on this one, but the smaller size and simpler design should make this guy much easier to complete. Still, not bad for one night's work.

Same Dollhouse style as the Ellison. (Looks like the name is sticking.)

Oh, I also worked on the second set of ground pieces, but no pictures yet. No more progress on the first block yet. I've been a bad boy.

I really like that open back idea. Well done.

I really admire your building. Have you considered doing something not apartment. Perhaps a two storey garage, a shopping mall, a small Company office building or something like that?

I really like your vendor stalls.  Going to have to steal that for my sci-fi projects.  Great work all around!

Yes it is a good solution to the problem of access. Will they be placed around the edge of the table or can they also be accessed if they were in the middle?

Dr. Mathias: I've been wanting to do an open back building for years now, but never got around to it. I'm glad you think it'll work too.

Machinegunkelly: I figure most of my larger buildings could be considered office buildings too. The second open back building is based on an office block paper model I found a picture of online. I hadn't thought about a mall yet. A two story parking deck also sounds interesting.

Ironworker and Mason: Thanks. Having an idea of mine used in another gamer's project is high praise. Considering how many ideas I've taken from Ironworker, I'm delighted.

Dijit: most of the buildings will sit along side of the wide street set I showed earlier, so they will be accessible from one side of the table.

One more group of building WIP shots. I'm so damn close to finishing this. I just need to figure out what to do with the windows and the Ellison is ready for paint. I could have waited till it was finished to post pictures, but I just couldn't wait to show off.
