A great day's gaming David!  We got to grips with the rules really quickly and much fun was had.  Except for Krunk the barbarian, who died three times...
You can tell it's a fantasy game when a character dies more than once  lol

Technically he was incapacitated twice but got healed, and he died once but Andy had a resurrection spell (one use only, hard to cast) and brought him back (he then got killed before the end).

Just posted my (rather long) review of Otherworld Fantasy Skirmish:

http://swordsofminaria.blogspot.com/2015/12/review-otherworld-fantasy-skirmish.html

The long and short of it is that Otherworld is a competent system with a lot of room for expansion. The rules are vaguely reminiscent of Games Workshop rule sets, yet the game feels a bit more like an toolbox for fantasy adventures with miniatures and less like a competitive game (although it could be played either way).

Let me know what you think!

I've started a dedicated thread for the subject of house ruled campaign guidelines for OFS but, seeing that all the OFS "action" happens on this topic I post it here as well (my apologies to the mods, please feel free to delete the other topic if you think it is redundant!).

So...

To all those who have caught the Otherworld Fantasy Skirmish bug or know people who are playing it, I've cooked up a document containing Errata and FAQs (both the Errata and FAQs are official and sanctioned by the Higher Ups at Otherworld via the Otherworld Skirmish group on FB) as well as a few House Rules.

The PDF document can be accessed from Google Drive at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxy29L5bow88WmhlclF2NGJWdDQ/view

So far, all house rules are authored by me but am interested in feedback and contributions so please contact me if you have something to say or add.

The main issue with OFS (for me) is the lack of rules for campaigns and warband progression: as it is, the game can only be played as a series of one-off encounters without any progression for warbands. The last part of the presented house rules consists of my atempt to address this situation staying true to the spirit of the game, keeping things as simple as possible and using, as much as possible, the rules and creature descriptions as they currently stand without adding too much. This is where I would really like to have play-testing, comments and sugestions.

So, check it out and fire away!

Cheers!
M.
