The Russian T class 0-6-0 nears completion. All but a few tweaks before it gets a paint job...

Excellent job with the green stuff and conversions, very inspiring constructions!

Thanks DintheDin, the build has been taking longer than planned as the supposed 5 min epoxy took over 15 mins to harden. Just a few extra bits of green stuff before I can undercoat it. Then I can batch paint the lot to completion.

The T class 0-6-0 rolls off the production line... the final locomotive in the stable. Not sure whether to continue with lining out or to keep this as a more workmanlike, less fancy freight loco...

The valve gear were the most challenging and rewarding parts of the process. Trying to fathom how the linkages moved depending on the positioning of the wheels and coupling rods to make it look feasible was hard. I'm not sure I've got them entirely sussed but I'm happy with the approximation. Then sculpting metal components in modelling putty in 3d. I had to build up layers between the wheels for the parts to sit on...
From top to bottom; 'Ya' class (Joy), 'T' class (Baker), 2 'Ovs' (Joy) and an A class (Walschaerts).
