Tudor Sleeve Design- help please
« on: 26 August 2013, 01:32:40 PM »
I've bought the TAG Tudor foot command and two of the figures(drummer and ensign) both have sleeves with horizontal raised loops. Can anyone help clarify if these hoops are an integral part of the sleeve and would hence be the same colour as the sleeve or if they are some form of sewed on decoration(ribbons or cords) and could therefore be of a contrasting colour to the rest of the sleeve?
I tried all the most obvious(or obvious to me) searches on the internet and came up with one dubious source, which indicated that the hoops were a sewn on accessory and were of different colour to the sleeve.
Any help would be appreciated.

As a quick aside, the TAG figures are absolutely lovely, full of crisp detail and very nice Tudor looking faces.

from Googling tudor fashion men it looks like there are a different color.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

I think the answer is really "whichever you prefer". Clothing could have added "lace" in a matching or a contrasting colour.
