Well chaps, I didn't deliberately sculpt him as Sam Elliot, but I won't say the influence wasn't there, and by the time I had finished the sculpt, I was thinking of him as the Sam Elliot figure. And who better  8)

Nick - I'll probably get round to a mounted version of this figure as a special "Soldiers Free" - but don't hold your breath.

The plan for mounted versions of figures is that I'll do dismounted versions first, as per the first pre-order, then mounted versions will be added for all cavalry, horse-Indians and Cowboys, and some characters will be added. I won't be leaving the mounted versions to sculpt until I've done all the dismounted ones of one type, and additional mounted and dismounted figures for each grouping will be added later too. Obvious townsmen, homesteaders etc will mostly not have mounted versions.
I'm with you chaps, I really like to have mounted and dismounted versions, but I know there are a good many who are only interested in the versions on foot, so most won't have to be bought together, although some characters may.

Axabrax, don't worry, I'm not about to lapse into the cigar-store Indian school of sculpting  lol and there will be cameo groups of all types later - if there's enough interest  ;)

Bugda - maybe it would be better just to place an order  lol

Cheers,

Lance

That depends on how much I value my self respect  ;) But if you just don't fancy me I suppose I'll have to  lol

Thanks Guys  :D

I'm getting on with taking pics of the packs for the pre-release deal, here's the contents of the first 4 figure pack of dismounted Apaches (the other 3 packs will be dismounted US cavalry).
Better resolution pic at the foot of The Western Range page on the website, along with some (hopefully) useful detail information.  8)

Fortunately I really need Arapahoe or Sioux and not Apache. My wallet is happy. The minis are looking good!

Oh my, these are great. I do have a request, though. Please, please, please, please think about doing a figure of the female lead in She Wore a Yellow Ribbon. By that, I mean a young female wearing a cavalrymans jacket and kepi, with her hair tied up in a (Yellow) ribbon. On foot and mounted. I've been wanted a figure like this for years. I've tried making on myself but my skills have not bee up to the task.
Jane! Stop this crazy thing!
