I really hope that you are committed to completing this rage.  I would love to see a range of large 28mm US Cavalry and Plains Indians, both mounted and dismounted.  These will I think match up well with my Black Scorpion figures.

I hope not actually. Black Scorpion are huge and don't match well with any other range I use, Foundry, Artizan, etc.

Axabrax,
Take a look at the comparison photos that Deedles posted. It seems that the Galloping Major figures are AT LEAST as big as Black Scorpion.

Actually gents, the cowboy "Soldiers Free" is a bit bigger than my other sculpts - less noticeable when painted:

“I find the difference between the two GM figures surprising though.”

“Well spotted
The cowboy is a "Soldiers Free" giveaway figure, I sculpted him as a test piece some time back, he's just a tad bigger than the others; as I settled on the overall size for the figures in the range to be as the FIW range, so that's why I decided to make him a giveaway. I like to think of him as "the tall stranger".
The Western Range figures will equate in size to the cavalry trooper second from right who can be taken as typical for size.”

As you say Nick, well worth looking at Deedles size comparison thread:
http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=59892.0
and reading through the comments (my quote above is from it), especially those by Dewbakuk and Elbows on the effects of basing and integral bases compared to slotta base levels.
 :)

Cheers,
Lance
