New Orleans Greys no less. Great stuff :D  ;D

I thought that you might like them.
Boot Hill miniatures.
You should check them out, it is a good range.
 :D

What a plucky lass going up against the banditos single handed. Looks like it was a "blast" for most lol

She was a tough cookie, mate.
Certainly gave the Banditos a run for their money.
 :D

There were a couple of good games played and we have a good bunch of lads so they are always a good laugh.
We try not to take anything too seriously, having fun is the main thing.

Thanks, Amigo!
I can actually say that and have it sound appropriate for once....
 :D

Playing already  :o

Well, the buildings are not all finished yet, and the figures were 'proxied' to some degree as we just wanted to get a couple of games in to get a 'feel' of the period etc...

It obviously worked as Legionnaire Bert now wants to actually colour in his cowboys and Tom the B*astard bought his band of prospectors last night.

smokezombie has put us to shame, though.
He has almost finished his entire band of Banditos.

I guess I will just have to get some paint on my own soonish.... ::)

(Although those lovely Greys will do me for now...gotta get the buildings finished first, priorities and all that  ;)).

Here are some pics of the second game; Hang 'em high!

Again it fell to smokezombies Banditos to attempt to rescue another of their fellows who was due to be hanged for various offences, including 'going equipped with offensive headgear' and being armed with a 'ridiculous accent'....

Performing the hanging would be my own bunch of Lawmen, again represented by those very nice Grey fellas.....( ;)).
(I opted to continue to use the same gang roster from the first game as Tom the B*stard wanted to start his own band equipped in the way he wanted).

Things started badly for the Mexicans, who decided that they would just saunter arrogantly into town as they had in the previous game.
It would not be so easy for them this time as there were two rifle-armed Vigilantes on the roof of the Bank overlooking the gallows, who both took potshots at the Bandito chief at extreme range.
The first shot hit and wounded the outlaw chief, who used both of his Fortune points to escape death....only to be gunned down by an amazing shot from the second rifleman!
 :D

The twelve innocent bystanders did an amazing job of getting in everyone's way, several of which were mercilessly gunned down by the outlaw scum!

(In fact, the rules for the panicking bystanders caused an equal measure of fun and frustration, depending on whose turn it was to move them...a brilliant idea, which I shall shamelessly steal for future use... ::)).

The game was pretty close and tense but was eventually settled by the Sheriff himself and his one-armed Deputy (injury from the first game...) who waded in and took a couple of Mexican villains out in a session of fisticuffs which caused the rest to break and run.

Good fun all round.

Here are a couple of pics that were taken as an afterthought towards the end of the game....

The Accused...

The innocent bystanders causing chaos...

'Time for a whooppin'!'

The gaming is a bit of a bonus, as we have slackened off on that front recently.
It should pick up now as it is easy to put an Old West posse together so there are no excuses really if I am providing the scenery, is there, chaps??
 :D

As for productivity: I have not made too much progress with the Water Tower, but that will be easy to finish off at the end of the week, along with a few wagons and a stagecoach that I have been busy 'pimping' today.

They are of the 'pencil sharpener' variety, so require a little work to make them servicable.
 ;)

I should have something finished along those lines before the week is out too....

Cheers to you too.....I think!

Right, I couldn't resist showing this fella off, as he is lovely.
The first of the personalities that will be featured in the adventures happening in and around Upsheet Creek...

Reginald the Hunter.

Yep, those eagle-eyed amongst you will recognise him as fresh from the Old West Painting Posse and the brush of that top tosher, Bugsda.
Couldn't resist him, as he is bloody well painted and I am sure that you will agree.
The man himself delivered him today and I am most pleased with him.

Nice acquisition Paul. Reg looks like quite a quiet sort, I hope Schitte Creek doesn't prove too much for his sensibilities!

Ps I'm only jealous that you're managing to build stuff and game! We played our first group game in over 4 months on Friday, so I'm itching to get some gaming in.

Reginald is an UBERCOOL, BEAUTIFULLY painter mini. One look is enough to create a need to go Western; possibly start doing John Wayne imitations..or not.
