Nice acquisition Paul. Reg looks like quite a quite sort, I hope Schitte Creek doesn't prove too much for his sensibilities!

Ps I'm only jealous that you're managing to build stuff and game! We played our first group game in over 4 months on Friday, so I'm itching to get some gaming in.

 lol
I can sympathise with the 'not playing' bit as moving house put a stop to that idea for months.
Hopefully we can get a few more games in before everyone goes 'crimbo-mental'..... ;)

Bloody hell you didn't waste any time picking him up. :o

Brown paper bags were exchanged beneath a clocktower this afternoon..... ;)

Lovely brushwork on a beautifully sculpted figure  :D

From a great range of figures too. ;)

I thought that you would say something like that.
 lol

Wot mal said  :-*

Cheers, mate.
 :)

He knows a quality miniature when he sees one ;)

OK, thats enough now.....

Reginald is an UBERCOOL, BEAUTIFULLY painter mini. One look is enough to create a need to go Western; possibly start doing John Wayne imitations..or not.
Thanks, Amigo.
I am very happy with him.

I didn't think the tone could get any lower, however I apologise most profusely for derailing what is otherwise a marvellous thread populated with splendid buildings and beautifully painted and sculpted miniatures. :D

Cheers to you too.....I think!

Right, I couldn't resist showing this fella off, as he is lovely.
The first of the personalities that will be featured in the adventures happening in and around Upsheet Creek...

Reginald the Hunter.

Yep, those eagle-eyed amongst you will recognise him as fresh from the Old West Painting Posse and the brush of that top tosher, Bugsda.
Couldn't resist him, as he is bloody well painted and I am sure that you will agree.
The man himself delivered him today and I am most pleased with him.

Nice work on the new guy, I think your painting is getting better and better every time.

He was not painted by me, mate.
That is purely the work of Bugsda.
 ;)

Righto, there are now three pencil sharpener wagons almost finished and ready for the brush.
I just need to add a yoke or two and we are good to go.
I hope to finish off the greenstuff work on the stagecoach tomorrow, so hopefully I can get them all painted up by the end of the week.

Pictures of them tomorrow.

lol , perhaps not in person, but certainly entertaining online.

How's the old pencil sharpner shaping up Paul? Think it's superior to a lasercut wagon?

Cheers
Matt

I cannot say for sure as I have not seen a lasercut jobbie in the flesh, so to speak, but they look to be better to me (with a little work, not much) and you dont have to stick them together either.
Oh, and they should be more solid, of course.
 ;)

I shall take a piccie tomorrow and you can judge for yourself.

 :D

As promised, a couple of pictures showing the current state of the wagons.
The simple green stuff work to cover the pencil sharpener section and some of the cast-on detailing to try and make each one appear a little different.
Further simple work with balsa and coffee stirrers should help to individualise them.
Blurry, but I think you get the idea.

And with the 'covers' on...

What the pictures do not show is that there is a little more green stuff work underneath to hold the axles still.

I am very happy with these wagons as they worked out very cheap and should look just fine and dandy on the table.

The stage coach has had rather more green stuff work done to it but that will be posted later as the putty was pretty 'fresh' so was left at work overnight to cure.
(Yep, working on them during my breaks at work again...)
