Great work, mate.
You have certainly brought it to life.
 :-* :-*

The red and white barber poles are a nice touch.

Thanks guys. I saw the poles on a photo and liked the idea. They're just cocktail sticks with a bead on top. I assumed they would be red and white. I'm pleased with how the tarpaper roof has turned out.

I'm probably going to get on with the other figures next; and of course there is the train!

Having hoarded a fair few mdf kits at knockdown prices I am still short of a few key buildings. One of these is a livery stable. Spurred on by the desire to make something myself I've decided to construct my own from foamcore, plasticard ans balsa. Work in progress below.

:-* That livery is looking great so far. I imagine it will be the focal point of many gunfights, plenty of cover in the stalls and sniping positions in the hayloft. I look forward to seeing the finished article.

Gorgeous work!  I'm see-sawing over whether to get the 4Ground one or not...I do need a Livery.  In fact, depending on what 4Ground releases for Salute I may make one final order and be done with my town!  lol

I got a bit more work done on the livery when I should have been working on the LPL.

The base is pretty weak though, it's just 2mm plasticard.

I still need to make stalls and decide how to finish the floor and roof.

I could do with rebasing it on some 3mm mdf or something similar. I was thinking tarpaper and timber batons for the roof and maybe just an earthy type floor texture. I'm leaning towards a weathered timber finish but I'm also tempted to give it an earthy red/brown paintjob.

There will be a blacksmith's lean to on the opposite side of the sheds that can be added or removed for gaming. I drew them all up in CAD and dimensioned them to create a quick build diagram (perhaps a little OTT!).

Looking good. ;D

Go with weathered wood, I think stables should always look weather beaten. I don't know why lol

Looking great, mate, perfect for gaming on.

Go with the dirty stables, much more realistic.
As an added bonus: Mama likes it dirty in the stables too.
