…Perilous Island is about to be consumed by lava and volcanic ash. Escape is the only means of survival!

Racing to the nearby Nghai village, you find the natives hurriedly packing their possessions. Onward you race, down a short winding trail you see the native jukungs resting along the beach.  Then, appearing without any warning, the Lagoon Terror crushes two boats in a single powerful lunge.

Can the monster from the deep be defeated before it destroys all the boats?...

This is the final scenario for the campaign, pitting the leagues against an old foe -- the Lagoon Terror. When they first arrived on Perilous Island, the leagues fled from this monster. Fleeing is not an option this time, the terror must be destroyed!

Pulp Girl and her colleagues enter from the north and Hook’s gang comes in from the south…

Pulp Girl moves into position and opens fire. A hail of deadly lead hits the target, but the great beast is uninjured…

Hook’s gang fairs even worse…

A small group of Nghai warriors rush to the lagoon to protect their boats…

Both leagues throw everything they have at the mighty terror!...

Soon the Nghai join the fray and the ancient monster is defeated…

A massive earthquake shakes the island to its core and the Lagoon Terror suddenly disappears. Fleeing Nghai from other parts of the island rescue the survivors before frantically rowing their sturdy jukungs for open waters.

The refugees are only a few miles away when the volcano bursts and splinters the island. Through the gray haze, the Nghai silently watch their ancestral home disappear beneath the waves. All that remains of the ancient Enochean Empire are a handful of small trinkets.

The forces of nature have reclaimed Perilous Island.

The End … ?

One last quick scenario and our Perilous Island campaign comes to an end. The players collected their hard-earned experience and other rewards. They were excited to have finished this epic campaign but it wasn’t long before they all started asking, “What next?”  :D

THANKS

Awesome example of linked scenarios telling a great story! Thanks for all the photos and write ups. I know that stopping to take photos during a game sometimes is forgotten, so we appreciate you being so thorough.

You've set the standard for us to live up to...

THANKS! But I didn't actually play in any of these scenarios. I just hang out and snap the pics as the action happens, but they don't give me much time. There's always the risk of being trampled in the gaming frenzy!  lol lol

It was so much fun playing straight through that campaign. Pulp Girl completed the Elder Stone challenge and picked up a unique ability, and she finished the campaign with enough Reputation to join a Secret Society. Epic! Epic! Epic!

There hasn't been much progress on the city terrain. We got some samples and tried a few tests but I still don't know what Dad will do.

Currently he's trying to focus on finishing the Pulp Vehicles book before the end of the year, so I doubt we'll get much done on the new city tiles until January.

Wolf Girl,
Keep him locked in the cellar (don't forget to slip the occasional pizza under the door!) until he's finished, I'm very much looking forward to the Pulp Vehicles book!

The playtesting is really going good and I think he may have it finished before the end of the year. So its looking like a January release.
