Wow, this lead adventure forum is really a great place !  Thanks to all for accepting me as a member, and to Rudi for recommending that I apply.

I'm very gratified by the positive comments on the Venture 28mm tramp steamer which I commissioned from Richard Houston.  Questions were asked, and I'll try to answer them here:

Poiter50 asked:
>What make is the short skirted filly leaning over, firing a pistol at the monster? <

She is from a three-pack blister by UK Grenadier from the late '80s or early '90s, but I converted her uzi to an automatic pistol so she would fit better in a '20s and '30s environment.  I think she is an exceptional sculpt.

Malamute  asked:
>Whose cannibals and canoes? <

Those are the Old Glory "Pirates" line cannibals.  Very few people realize that there are two versions of the canoe itself, since this was never advertized.  When I accidentally found out I just HAD to purchase a second canoe.  I highly recommend those cannibals.  Lots of character.

gauntman asked:
>Where did those Deep Ones come from?<

I have been collecting Deep Ones for 20 years now.  They are Grenadier, Partha troglodytes, Rafm, and half a dozen other manufacturers of froggy-looking aquatics.  The Dagon Priests are my conversions.  On two occasions when those guys were on the table I was informed that I had committed SERIOUS Blasphemy against GW figure collectors.  I grafted Grenadier deep one heads, hands, and feet onto really old Citadel Ringwraith bodies.  Those Ringwraiths are apparently so rare and valuable that my informants were visibly going green around the gills seeing them used as chopshop conversion fodder.  Their dismay made me like my Dagon Priest conversions even more !

Again, I'm enjoying the forum, thanks for letting me in the door.

Chick

I must say as a Deep One enthusiast, you have done a fine job.  If you ever grow tired of your collection, please keep these in the family.

Hi Chick,

I bought a copy of "Source of the Nile" from you many moons ago [including some adaptations you made] via the Colonial Wars list. My first ever purchase with "Paypal", IIRC  :)

I've had great fun with it over the years, it's great to use as a campaign background as well as a straight boardgame, so thanks again for letting it go and I'm glad to see you on this list too.

Cheers,
Ian Hall

Hi Chick,

when I remember correctly we have been in business as well some years ago when I bought some very nice Richard Houston guns & equipment from you.

Nice to meet you again!

For anyone interested, we still have her available - temporarily out of stock but back in soon:
