The Sheriff reports that 'Tall' Fiona (32mm Malifaux) is a very friendly gal and is in New Silverton for a business trip - she want's to open a shop. Unfortunately the Sheriff found himself unable to press Fiona for any further details of her plans. Though watching her finger her hidden Derringer in his peripheral vision he surmised she could look after herself and gave her 2 days before she would cause any trouble.

Cheers
Matt

Nice PJ on 'Fiona', mate.
 :-*

I have just taken the plunge and bought a couple of Malifaux figures in the hope that they will scale up ok with my Black Scorpion stuff.
How do they work for you?

Thanks Paul, I based her as low as possible. I think as a tall human she works fine with BS and DUST figures (so no worries for you there)... hasslefree and she is a big un (but workable)... em4 scavengers (small 28's) not really. That said, In a western based skirmish game size isn't a big issue, and she is just the soiled dove I was looking for. I'm not sure how old glory shape up or other western figures, but i think you will be fine as most of your gangs are BS. Let me know how you go with them, I'd be interested, as I haven't seen the rest of the Malifaux range in the flesh.

cheers

I was inspired by some amazing terrain building on LAF (Bibbles, Steves) to have a 'shake of the sauce bottle' myself. A quick trip to the hardware store saw me in possession of liquid nails and a sheet of MDF. Retrieving thick foam-core from the supply vault, and a bag of cornice cement, with the essentials in hand I queued the Top Gear music and began to make a mess.

The bark was borrowed from a garden bed, >:D and slow roasted in the oven.

It should be modular for a few different setups. Using the liquid nails I bulked out the cliff face with the bark (any mess will be covered in PVA and sand) set aside to dry, then smeared over with the cornice cement. 2 Days later and the cement is still drying, but it is coming along. It has shrunk a little and cracked (especially where thick) but the next coat of pva/sand should fix that.

I was worried that the shrinking cement would warp the MDF tiles, thankfully they have remained flat thus far.

Next step to PVA/Sand and apply smaller debri. 2 saturdays remaining before "show time"...

Cheers
Matt

Glad to read you baked the bark - there's some nasty critters in your parts!  :D

Looking good (and that's not a mess but the destruction that precedes creation)  8)

Wha-La!

It turned out alright hey?

I kid. lol

PVA, Sand with liberal craft paint (red oxide, yellow ochre and sienna) turns it into this!

A heavy light yellow oxide dry brush, a light off white dry brush, minor flocking, and spotted grass tufts later turns a mess into a masterpiece. :D

Landon Ricketts has a poke around. He isn't very keen on missing out on things (a bit of a FOMO).

As always C&C welcome. Where have I missed the mark?

Cheers
Matt
