Saw this at my FLGS. Godzilla is a smidge larger than the Heroclix PacRim pieces. Will snag a pic this weekend with some clix next to it for a scale reference for you.
Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.

If you could find those cheap the buildings would be pretty useful for a scenario.

I believe they are hollow shells with an open side at the back, so they only look good from one direction. Something to keep in mind.

Is it just me or is that shockingly expensive for a mediocre little toy set?  I was expecting something like 8.99 or so... lol

It does seem pretty expensive, although it's a nice set! The hollowed-out buildings are more of a problem, but they might still be useful as ruins or on the edge of the gaming table.

Started working on a harbour corner piece - the kaiju need a way into the city after all.

Plasticard base with accessories from Tamiya's Waterline Series. I haven't quite figured out how to do the water, maybe simply a paintjob with a heavy gloss varnish on top. Can't texture it too much or the ships won't sit well.

After blundering about, I ended up painting the end of the table as sea :D (you can read the sad details here: http://dawnofthelead.com/2014/04/20/seaside-fun/). The end result was pretty nice, though, and I ended up reworking the harbour:

First painted miniature for the project. Not completely happy with him, but I've had enough of painting white :D

It's a Reaper CAV mech, Spitfire. Used Tacit Ronin from Pacific Rim for inspiration:

Very cool, where is Tacit Ronin from?  Pacific Rim comic or what?
