Thanks lads! More will follow, I have big plans for the huge office building I have. I have received a ton of 3d printed stuff to fit it with furniture, so that will be a big job in 2024 to finish!

Awesome table (and figures)! Where did you get the green and purple futuristic vehicles?

T

Those are from Third Fate Creations. He ran a Kickstarter for the cars, but the Kickstarter failed. Then I saw on his website that he had some cars left to sell, so I contacted him. And fortunately he still had some! So I bought 5 of his vehicles. The casts were a bit rough, but nothing a bit of sanding and putty won't fix. They are very sleek and original and I love how they look on the table :)

More cracking figures, and damn that table looks impressive - it must be bags of fun to play on.

Fantastic! Lovely paint on lovely figures. I love that cloaking effect mini too. Great idea.

Thanks lads! And happy new year too! Let's continue this thread with more stuff:

Papsikels motorcycle

An awesome 3D model from the Papsikels Tribe. Love the design and nod to Akira. Not that hard to paint and a lot of fun to add a lot of decals too for that typical street racer look. Next up will be three cars I'm now finishing.

Cheers lads! And on the second day of 2024 I have painted more. What a bizarre start of the year lol

First, three civilians for Night City. All three are Employee models from MERCS Recon. Not the best casts, but the sculpts have a lot of character.

And next three OOP cars from Antenocitis Workshop. I used my old photo backdrop for these as the pure black backdrop really didn't work with these! It's a car in Green Stuff World's colour shift paint (giving a green to purple shifting colour) and two glossy black...biros? Really odd and cool vehicles. Super small too! And all three fun to paint. Like on the cop car I did some years ago I painted some impressions of a drab cityscape on the windows.

I don't think I will finish new stuff on day 3, but of course there is more to come soon!

very nice. I especially like what you did with the RECON minis. I was so disappointed with mine back when I received my pledge that I never even bothered to paint them. Yours look pretty good though. What a good paintjob can do, right? 8)

Also; the vehicles are nice too. I always loved that Antenociti's car. It was heavily inspired by the car Tom Cruise drove in Minority Report I believe. I tried to get hold of a 1/43 model of that for a long time, but they are expensive]...

The little ones look like futuristic Smarts. And great work on the windows!
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Great models, I really like the city skyline mirroring in the car windows!

Ooh, those colour shift paints really enhance your cars! Love the windows and bike as well. Always a good time for an Akira reference!
