the correct question is who makes this miniature ?  ;)

It's one of the upcoming North Star ones to go with the Osprey rules.
So many projects..... so little time.......

I have seen a contemporary (?) print of her showing her with the shirt open... I think it's in the Osprey on pirates, btw.

As far as I remember, there's uncertainty on whether she was depicted this way to emphasize her gender, or if she actually 'dressed' that way,

This one? Pretty sure it's in the Osprey.

Apparently from a Dutch reprint of the book that massively plays up the 'salaciousness'. I'd say not an accurate depiction of dress :)

Is it Anne Bonny who didn't get hung when captured and trialled because she was pregnant? Although Calico Jack met the hangmans rope it was always Anne who was said to be behind his bloodthirsty plans.

Indeed it was. Mary Reade and Anne Bonny both pleaded their bellies when on trial.

Rules are out in July (I forgot we changed the release date since the blog in the first post - whoops). Figures will be out at the same time.

As for army size, 15 or so a side is normal. Fewer for more elite forces, more for natives and poorly trained factions.

More!

How are turns done? Factions? Etc...love to get a preview.

Got to have another look, definitely Blackbeard  :D

It's not Anne Bonny, i'm quite sure it's Angélique ....

hope barbarian coast piracy is included  ;)

Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

Oooh yes "Angélique, marquise des anges" ! My great-grandmother loved the books.

The films were... um... a bit... old fashioned, but still with some good old adventure feeling.  :D lol

Are ships and the use of ships going to be factored into this game or is it purely infantry based?

That's OK, I loved all the Angelique books as well and I'm 64. I don't consider that I'm old, just retired.  ;)
