Hello Mark

My first band has 1 warlord (gang leader), 2 units of 4 bodyguards each (hearthguards) 1 unit of thugs (x8 figures - Warriors) and a unit of great unwashed (x12 figures - Levy).
That means 29 figures.
The next band will be almost the same size and configuration.

The idea of a battleboard for roman forces is great since you can do a game with roman authorities trying to keep the order on the streets or finishing with the various gangs.

One question, from whom are the 2 latest miniatures?

Cheers

Rui

They are by Steve Barber from his gladiator range. They are pretty small though. The women look ok, but the men look particularly small.

Hello all

Many thanks for the tip on Steve Barber models Mark.
The man can pass for a youngster perhaps. ;)

Cheers

I've thought about buying some of the Foundry Roman civilians, but they don't have them listed on the normal site.  Aside from waiting to see if they come up on eBay under CastingRoomMiniatures, any suggestions?  Are there codes for the packs?

The civilians are listed here at the Foundry :

in a special section about civilians and not in the Ancient Range..... ???

I have a 10% discount voucher from Foundry at Salute; I think this is the time to spend it!

They normally do blister packs for ten pounds each at shows. If you can wait until Partizan it would save your P and P too and be a lot cheaper. I guess it depends on how many you want and how quickly!

I sneaked it just over the £80 for free postage (by adding a pack of mounted Generals, useful for my big battles); it worked out at £8.60 a pack.  Could have been worse...

A rather dark photograph of my latest unit. A bodyguard of lictors.
