SuperSystem 4th Ed. Kickstarter Funding Cancelled

Folks, I am not going to spend a lot of time discussing this, but here is the short of it. 

We cancelled the KS because we felt like there was little chance of it reaching its goal.  While we're super-appreciative of everyone who supported us, we did not have enough "bodies" to move the needle.  And the number of backers we would have needed in the last few days was too many based on what we'd been adding over the last week. 

But fear not, the book will be released via PDF and POD options.  More this as I figure things out.

Sorry to hear this Scott, but I think you are right. I will now wait to buy the PDF instead of getting it via your Kickstarter.

I assume that Major Meteor is going to be available for regular sale then? Or are you going to save it for a different promotion?

At the very least the KS got a bunch of people here interested in the game.

I think you made the right decision.

I try to buy both hardcopy and softcopy of rules where possible but your plan for PDF and POD is a good alternative.

Exactly this. I wouldnt have given SS a second glance but now I am very much looking forward to it and have some Superhero minis on order.

While it is a pity the kickstarter failed I have little doubt this book will be successful on any other platform. And I rather have a kickstarter cancelled so clearly and fairly then succeed with all the crap and muddy waters some bring along.

On the bright side I now have $85 budgeted for supers minis to play with.

I will most definately be after a POD. or pdf of the rules once you are ready to release them.

That being said I felt that the targeted goal of the Kickstarter seemed very high.
Speaking as one who does not know a thing about printing and publishing and that sort of thing.
