Added an animal pen and some more haystacks:
Started with the very versatile Rendra wattle fencing on a 2mm MDF base and added a polystyrene former for the building

Double checked the fit for the livestock

Added fur fabric thatch and balsa wood sides, sprayed the fence with halford's khaki paint

Basing done with the obligatory sand and thinned PVA glue mix. Added a door at this point too to give it some more interest.

Finished the painting - wattle has been given a wash of thinned burnt umber oil paint and a few details picked out. Thatch is foundry canvas triad.

Grass tufts and static grass applied and thatch aged using a mix of brown and green inks

Added a bit of straw to the interior so the animals are comfy

Some more haystacks from John Jenkins Designs (excellent service from John in HK) finished as the other at the beginning of the article. Also made a dung heap which is just old bristles and coir matting strands soaked in thinned PVA and then piled up. Some static grass added to the top to look like the grass it taking hold.
