Northwest Frontier 28mm Scratchbuild more kit

Been hacking away and have now run out of usable bark. The hill that can hold a tower that was this:



has been worked up. Base size is 350mm x 250mm. Front:

T’other side:



With the tower on it’s 270mm high.
Need a new tower but here’s some 28mm Foundry to show scale:



With the tower off it’s 150mm high:





Have also made another 5 pieces of varying sizes and heights.
The light is not good so I’ll post better images of all of them when it perks up.

This one is a low rocky ridge 550mm x 310mm. Front:

The sharp-eyed will see the damn mdf is warping a bit.
C’est la vie. Next time Marine Ply or thicker MDF.
Seems only to happen when the Recticel foam is not covering the majority of the MDF.

That looks the bees knees as do the rest of the rock seections.
My only comment would be the rectangluar bases on the rock formations makes them look quite regimented. Any reason why you didn't cut them with a more irregular shape?

Yes, I intend to build sections that butt up and are irregular shapes (that stick out into the table).
I may well (if I can get more bark) make some large ones up the way you suggest though....

Fantastic terrain!

I've tried using bark as well, but the layers have a tendency of peeling/falling off while in construction. Any tips on how to keep the bark in tack as you build?

Hot glue gun and work out where you can cut ledges to 'rest' sections on.
