Nice work basing on a wasteland asphalt.  :-* What did you think of the cars vehicles? I certainly like the price and range, less happy with exaggerated features.. but they are fine.

Is that a cars bus? It looks great! Reminds me of Bultrode(?) The angry bus from Thomas who ends up deralict as a chicken coup haha

Cheers
Matt

the foliage on the red bus is a classy touch!! I'm not 100% convinced on the basing, why did you need to keep the base that large?

Very cool. That copplestone barbarian in the back is surprisingly a good fit for post apoc as well (I have one on the paint table right now)

My favourite is the first car. Those rust effects are great.

They all look great to me. I imagine the basing is like that so figures can stand next to it without them being on the tilt.

Plus you can add the bushes and stuff next to them with having loads of tiny loose bits all over the board.

How did you do the rust? What did you use etc?

I use a new technical paint form GW that is basically a textured paint. I apply that before priming the model. Then I stipple dark flesh, then vermin brown, and then finally an orange colour. Then I use Army painter strong tone and soft tone washes to add weathering and shadow, then the entire model has a light drybrush of stone colour, which picks up the textured paint.

Ta. At the mo I'm using Modelmates rust effect and highlighting that with brown/orange pastels.
