Brilliant! The transition from mutated minotaur to alien is amazing. Lovely looking model.

Thanks everyone. Glad Bro'og meets with approval!

I got round to painting up probably the final figure I paint this year! (Modelling courtesy of Whiskey Priest via a miniature exchange over at the Oldhammer forums; the Oldhammer Salvation Army - thanks Colin!). He's not at all retro, but seeing as he's still sci-fi and in the same vein as some of my recent figures, I thought I'd share.

I introduce Aigulf, Hero of the Imperium. In my mind, this was once a mighty bear of a man - a real hero, now aged and crooked, but still pressed into service.

Some more pics and background to the character over at the blog.

How'd I miss this? The Prof's thread and now this one. Gotta get the kick to finish my 54mm stuff.

I starting doing some old school modelling yesterday - with plasticard and a vintage 1980s action figure tank! I'm building a crawler vehicle for my Ash Wastes Nomads, using this as the starting point:

So far I have managed to add a range of plastic and resin parts from Imperial Guard tanks and Zinge Industries, plus cut some plasticard into interesting shapes, and this is the result:

There's a long way still to go with this, and I expect I'll come back to it in short bursts, but so far it's at least going in the right direction :)

A fuller overview of progress to date over at the blog.

Blimey Jon, that's a beaut! Only thing it's lacking are ways to get inside. Also, that rear hatch should probably not be hinged that way, but on the side instead.
