I really like how you kit bashed the mutant, and the paint job is great!

Had to quote this with the images as this bunch is really ace!  8) Have they got a dedicated ride just for the show if not for the gaming purposes. I plan to have some sort of transportation to every SW:A team, not only for fun of it but also for possible mission objectives etc.

Some more Imperial Guard recruits are newly finished for Shadow War: Armageddon.

These are all converted using classic Rogue Trader and Confrontation torsos, heads from various sources, and more modern resin arms.

Just 2 more to finish the Kill Team!

More words and pics over at my blog.

No dedicated ride yet pocoloco. I've got one on the table though :)

I've been busy creating a larger building for my terrain collection.

The starting point was this pair of bathroom storage thingies from the clearance shelf at my local budget homewares store:

After plenty of work, including rendering the whole thing, I put the building down (pre-paint) with the rest of the collection:

I'm hoping to get it painted up pretty soon, as I'm pleased with the way it's come together.

There's a blow-by-blow on the construction over at my blog.

That is a wonderful building, sir.
A true junkbuilders eye in finding the boxes in the first place, followed by some excellent modelling to bring it all together.

I particularly like the adjoining section that you scratchbuilt yourself
I love the asymmetry of the whole thing and this shot shows that off so well.

A top drawer building that I cannot wait to see brought to a finish.

Thanks guys. I'm not an experienced scratchbuilder, so this has all been a huge learning curve!

In agreement with the others - great scratchbuilding.

Fine piece of adaptation
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

That's absolutely brilliant. I love the general shape and how you made all the pieces work together. Truly inspirational!

Mega - I'd be interested to hear how sanding down the rough texture goes. I used filler and a sponge to texture a hut I made and some parts were too textured. I hadn't thought of resanding parts.

Thanks everyone!

@Jagannath - the sanding has worked pretty well - it's knocked back the rough texture, but still left enough to make it interesting to paint. It will have a slightly rougher finish than the resin adobe buildings I have I think, but it won't look out of place.

Yeah, I wish I was such an inexperienced a scratchbuilder as you. ;-)
Keep up the good work and keep churning out the goodies.

Yeah, I wish I was such an inexperienced a scratchbuilder as you. ;-)

Too much false modesty? ;) In all honesty though, I've never build anything with foamcard before, never attempted to build scenery from household items or never used filler as render. I just read some stuff, spoke to some people and gave it a go.

I finished off the building last night, so thought I'd share some pics:

And here's what it looks like with some of my other terrain:

Hope you like it. It's been a great practice ahead of doing something a bit bigger next time.

As ever more words and pics over at my blog.
