Not today. It's a civilian order today.

Yes, but if it's hijacked by the LAF, we can make up any rules we like.  :)

Funnily enough, just after I hit 'submit' for that last post, I received this...

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=6827.msg76937;topicseen#new

Now I had been expecting it for a while, but for it to arrive just at this point was a bit freaky.

Hazel, I'm only 69 points behind you, that's nearly the same difference you have on Grimm. Shouldn't that make you think?  lol

Worse still - I'm somehow ahead of Poliorketes and got bazillions of votes against!

First Place !!!!  lol ;D :-*

I want to thank you all Competitors  ,voters and most of all the Prof !!
I have a lot of fun with the Competition it was a Blast !

only to remember a few things
Admiral_Benbow_Kings_of_the_Jungle  (and  the amazing Lascannon )
Uncle_Mike_The_Devils_Rejects  (nice T shirt )
hammershield_Hunksa_Burnin_Luv ( and the Sailors and the small tin)
Svennn_the_DH_Nut_Wheres_that_Bear ( I wait for them in the next Competition!)
The ``cow entry`` round and the bet entry name ever ``Doctor Untermensch and his Mud Dinosaurs``

I realy happy now ,but I must make sure that you all notice a few things .

It is the first time that I win a Competition and I am very of proud it because I have all the hard Competitors.
I know there where  a lot Competitors  who are better painters then I am but I what to let them know that in these Competitionare not only the painting skills counts.
It is also the mood  of the entry ,the picture, figures and the terrain of the Picture .
Allso the Opponents are importend and effectivety output the mix of all together .

These are the reasons why I like the Competition  so much because guys like me have a Chance to win aganst pro painters .
We have not these `´eye candy cool mini or not stuff `´ or these `´ I paint 45 h on a figure style ´´
It is a Competition from Wargamers for Wargamers not from pro-painters for pro-painters .

Thank you all again

My congrats to all on the wonderful entries.

All entries were exceptional and all deserve to win.

Thankyou Alex for facilitating these comps for all to participate in and hopefully in the future you may have time once again to devote your energies into this area.

Best wishes,
Helen

First Place !!!!  lol ;D :-*

I.... bet entry name ever ``Doctor Untermensch and his Mud Dinosaurs``....

Thank you all again

I was so close to earning last place!!!  Sweet victory should have been mine!  At least Grimm gave me the nod for best entry name :-*

I've almost completed some entries for the next League so I won't be caught with my pants down...in a painting sense.  I'm one model away from a Fantastic Worlds quintet, of which three have been seen..Buck Solo and crew.  And another Rattrap grouping for .45 Adventure.  Beware my colleagues, for my brush will be wielded with slightly less mediocrity next go around.

Great job and thank all that is holy for this forum! :'(

Congratulations to the winners.  For my part, I had a great time participating in the competition; In part because I painted more minis in a unit of time than I ever have before.

Thanks to Alex for doing the competition.  I can completely appreciate your sudden realization that life (ie: work) has caught up to you.  However, I hope a feeling of nostalgia and an unexpected slacking off of work responsibilities allows you to run a new competition earlier than you fear.

Until then, I'm sure we'll all have fun with things like the Company B armmored car event (for which I just picked up some rivets).

Good job, everyone.  Thank you, Alex.

Congrats to all!  I can't wait to throw my lot in with all of you for Season 3 (whenever that kicks off!) In the meantime I will use some of the fantastic entries this season for inspiration...Happy painting.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants of this marvelous League!

A big thanks to all the voters - without you there would have been no League!

And the biggest "Thank You" goes to Alex for inviting all of us to take part in the League and for inventing this great forum!!

Well done Grimm and Captain Blood, well deserved winners :)

I've always found Grimm's pictures very inspiring and The Captain's set up is awesome.

Well done Lads
