Thank Ragnar :)  If you make to Berwick over the next few months should be on the table there:)

Bigredbat, The primer is Black then Grey to begin shading, its subtle but it adds a depth to the colors i find.  So its a two stage process, and yeah the Shields and Spears work perfectly.

Ive been looking at different wars I could potentially use this collection in and the 1st and 2nd Greek Punic Wars are an option, which means I can also look to build an army of early Carthaginians.  The more I read the more options there are, It really is an awesome period.

Nice, I don't presume to say has a very dramatic effect but the other bit is that it defines the features of the model nicely for me to pick out.

Saves the eyes a bit ;)

A new Unit, the 6th of the Hoplites and some more playing around with pictures.

2 more to go then 4  Peltasts units and more skirmishers then I plan to get into some late Romans for a spell.

Cheers

These look great.whenever I see these dioramic bases especially when they're decorated with casualties or discarded equipment, I always regret that I have all my figures individually based for skirmish games. They work great for skirmish games but movement trays just don't look as good as these themed bases for larger battle games. Thanks for sharing

Quite an impressive array of figures. Love the colours, works great on those hoplites.

Commanders are important in any force and this is the second base painted with a few more to do.
