ORCMAS!

I am putting together a little Orcmas vignette this year, with plans to extend it a little bit more each year. I will be posting up finished pieces over the next week or so, but I will leave you folks with 'Da Boss 'imself - Santorc!

I have a few more pics on my Blog with a bit more in-depth writeup for those interested. For the rest of you lot, enjoy the season, and make sure to kick a grot every day to keep 'Da Boss happy!

Moving right along, you might ask what good would Orcmas be without an Orcmas tree? Well, Santorc would agree with you, so long as you don't ask too rudely

Of course, the Orcmas tree is the second piece I would like to share with you this season. The Orcmas tree is a longstanding tradition - it is fought over year after year by ambitious greenskins looking to claim the title 'da Boss of Orcmas. 'Ol Santorc has defended his title for years uncounted (since orcs can't count!) and will be the Boss for who knows how long. It is a massive, ancient growth. Scarred from dozens of previous battles it always manages to sprout branches anew, even when it seems to be nothing more than a scorched ruin! Santorc defends the tree proudly, ready to take on all comers as he rings his bell across their heads.

Great job, there DeafNala. I like the festive bulbs in your tree. I might just have something similar to share with you all in a couple days.

Any suggestions on whether I should flock the tree with snow to match Santorc's base? I don't have any other winter scenery, so covering the tree with snow would limit my options for using the tree in other games.

Thanks, Timbor...glad you liked it. The bulbs are jewelry beads my erstwhile friend, Karen, gave me. I will look forward to your progress!

I'd skip the snow to make that LOVELY tree usable for other things; re, Christmas is a once a year affair after all. For some removable snowy foliage, you could place some tufts of cotton on the branches just for the photo.

I see my 'Bah! Humbug!'s will be very quietly said, this year.

Snow looks patchy under St Nix-it, so could be broken around the tree, and tapering off until nothing.

Or, blow it off; no need to limit it to just this time o' year. You could even go with removable little patches/piles, if you wanted to.
