Yes please, do let me know with a bit of notice and I'll see what I can do, Painterman may also be interested. Our figures aren't based the same but I'm sure we can work around it.

Make sure you have access to the BLAM internal message board . I think Malamute is the moderator. Notice of BLAM 2015 will be coming out at the beginning of Feb...

And good times were had by all! Wonderful stuff Richard, just grand. Colourful as always too.

If you don't mind, what texture stuff did you use to create your cobble roads? Looks a lot better than the usual vinyl mat with it's too-regular texture.

Majestic!  :-* :-* :-* This is the role model for what games should look like!

Thanks gents, for all the praise. It was good fun and an interesting game, as well as decorative ;)

If you don't mind, what texture stuff did you use to create your cobble roads? Looks a lot better than the usual vinyl mat with it's too-regular texture.

The cobblestone sheet for the roads is a kind of pattern-imprinted, light foamboard sheet about 2mm or 3mm thick. Can't remember where I got it from now - it was a few years ago. You used to be able to get it in various textures and colours for walls and paving. I'm sure someone still makes and sells it, but not sure who...

If you enjoyed this battle report and medieval photo-fest, may I refer you to a few of our earlier encounters in this vein...
(If nothing else, you can see how much better pictures I got with my old cheap and cheerful Canon Powershot point-and-shoot, as opposed to my fancy-schmanzy new DSLR...  ::))

Now that's what playing with the toys should be all about. Bloody lovely.

Richard,

I entirely agree with you re: not playing on a green cloth and your game, with it's, if you don't mind me saying so, illustrates what's possible with even basic Mdf terain and a little sand etc.
