Cracking snitchy!!

Isn't it great modelling vehicles and terrain that are weathered/beaten/homemade. It means we dont have to be precise in our curves and the model looks more fun to boot ;)

I like the covering on the back of the engine.  8)

Cheers
Matt

You've got the lake, trees, and a beautiful aerosled is nearly done. What are you planning to show us on the remaining 55 days of the competition?

I have not decided if I am going to model it with a covering or not.  Most of them had the engine exposed so I might go that rout.  It depends on if I decide to model a radial or a straight block engine.  Still on the drawing board there since I started on the suspension and running gear last night.

I noticed that too, kinda sneaky.  I just have a bit of time to play around with it since I am looking for permanent work.  Immigrating to a new country can be a pain in the but.  At least I know the writing style that I need to use to get an interview now.  Take care.

Had about an hour and a half this morning so I came to a decision about what kind of engine to build.

First chance that I have had to really use my circle punch.  I think it worked pretty well.
I also managed to putty the body up and built some of the supports for the running gear and engine.

I will probably wire the engine up tomorrow and make the mount to attach it to the supports.  I need to add the fuel and oil tanks and some other hardware in there so space will be an issue but I might be able to infer that some of that is in the cab.
Hope you like.

I completely forgot to comment on the aerosledge after the shock revelation that I had nearly one month less than I thought. The engine looks amazing... and I need a circle punch myself. Is yours one of these revolving ones designed for punching holes in leather?

I have several but this is the one I am using.

It is from micromark and I have noticed that they raised their prices up again.  You might find better on the internets from another manufacture.
So the whole engine was scratch built?
Completely.  I am trying not to use any boxed parts on the whole build.  We shall see how long I can keep that commitment.
Thanks all.
