I think that's your best sculpt to date - nice work!

I think so too.
Cheers, mate.

The Scaly mutant WIP....

Hands, feet, belt knot and tidying up to do and then it is on to his huge shooter.

It will probably be some time as I am thinking about getting him cast up along with the rest of the 'Munda-themed group that I am working on.

Sign me up for a set of those please :)

These look awesome man! So much character. I can just see them running around Mos Eisley looking for trouble while avoiding the Stormtroopers.

The scaly looks fantastic! Personally, I really like the unarmed sculpt...have you considered keeping the weapon a separate part and/or having two variants?

To be honest I had not even considered them in a SW setting.
I was thinking more Post Apoc as an alternative, but SW....why not?
 :D

The weapon will be a seperate piece as it will be an issue casting it if I make it too chunky.
That is the reason the hands are not done yet, I may cut them off and have them affixed to the gun.

As for two options: I am considering having a changeable 'barrel' end to the weapon that has a either a giant blunderbuss barrel or a harpoon.
I am also tinkering with the idea of a second scaly mutant as well, though..... ;)

I'd second that idea, if you were to cast him as is he could also hold a spear and shield for low tech or fantasy.

While I wouldnt dream of making demands, the Scaly weapon option that was never covered in miniature was the "discus" - supposedly some sort of weighted, aerodynamic circular saw blade that Scalies are inclined to lob around.  That image stuck with me as an entertainingly cheesy and cinematic.

But obviously, I will take what I am given, which looks like it will be excellent :)

The scaly in the gang pack had a discus attached to his belt. Not the main weapon though. That would be cool. I'd like to see the scaly as more of a close combat type ganger.

You have all gotten me thinking now.
Maybe an assortment of optional hands may be a good idea....?

I had forgotten about that.  Might be a good basis for any extrapolation of design.

Well if they are going to be separate anyway, then perhaps.  But getting the pose to work with every option might be difficult.  An overtly discus armed scaly appeals to me for some reason.

Well, it could be left 'as-is' with the weapons made so that they fit into place on the hands.
The Discus could be separate pieces that just slip onto the hands as they are, like gloves... I know what I mean.
I shall try and work it out for the 'practical.

The ABC Warriors.... (Rogue Traders of the 41st Millenium) UD:15/05
« Reply #88 on: 15 May 2015, 12:17:16 PM »
....No, not THOSE ABC Warriors.
 ;)

I have finished sorting out the new Necromunda gang.
 :D

These chaps are the ABC Warriors (Augmented Binary Collective).

A group with a rather fundamentalist attitude to the worship of the Omnissiah and see the teachings of the Imperial Creed as blasphemous and are spreading the true word in Sector 313.
Members of the group cast aside their human identities when they join the 'Collective' and adopt a new identity using binary code.

They are utilising the Van Saar rules, as they are predominantly technology focussed.
I did consider Cawdor, and maybe should have gone down that route bearing in mind their preference for getting up close and personal...

They were a really quick fix as I bought the ganger figures from Dr Falkenhayn some time ago with the intention of using them as the basis for a sci-fi faction.
Necromunda just came along first.
All I did with these was rebase them onto 25mm slottas.

The other figures I did paint myself, (the Pit Slaves some twenty years ago!).

This is the Leader of the Collective, 10101, and his Pit Slave hired guns.

The Pit Slaves are both conversions, the female slave, PMT, began life as a Citadel Barbarian which got seriously damaged and hence had an arm lopped off and replaced with a chainsword.

The male slave, Black-Eyed P, has the body of a plastic Goliath figure, the head of a Dwarf and a screw to represent his Rock Drill.
Simples!

The leader is a slightly converted Redemptionist Priest, that began a second career as an Inquisitor in my IG army some fifteen years ago, and has now had his robes painted again to serve in the Collective.

I will probably go back to him and tidy some of the other areas on him ,later, but he will do for now.

Sorry for the rather bad pictures, I may retake them if I go back and sort out some of the painting on the leader.
Maybe.....

A fine looking gang Mason. Given their large number they are a real pospect, too - they just won their inaugral game of Necromunda against a gang with a few games under their belt, so well done Mason 8).

I really like this gang's look, and the covering fluff is great too. I look forward to a few more games against them.
