Cool project! My favourite is your converted Elric mini. Though, I have mixed feelings about the Humpty Dumpty Dreadnought.

That dreadnought is terrifying, great paint job but scary as hell.....

All of the conversions look great so far too :)

Steering away from the Eldar for a while now as it is time for something else.

I urgently need a new Necromunda gang (I am using my Squats as proxies at the moment....maybe I should take some piccies of them soon too... ;)) and have been itching to paint my Iron Claw Space Pirates ever since I managed to snaffle up the last one I needed to complete the set.

So, to kill two birds with one stone, the Pirates shall be my new 'Munda gang.
 :D

I reckon they will work just fine as denizens of the Underhive, bearing in mind how ugly some of them are.
(In the nicest possible way, of course).

I dug them out earlier, based and undercoated them, and attacked them with the brush.
Three hours later I am very happy with the progress....

About halfway there, I reckon.

There are seventeen Pirates another two Olley sculpts in the Imperial Psyker and Servitor (Pit Slave) and an early RT Inquisitor who works just fine as my leader, Mr Biffta.

I hope to get them finished before the next game.
Fingers crossed.

Using that good-ole-boy style Inquisitor with the IC Pirates is a great idea.  Unsurprisingly the Olley Psyker fits in perfectly too.

I tracked down the last of the Pirate/Merc range last year and I am dying to get them painted.  Its such a Marmite range, so peculiar in style and design, I love it.  As someone said elsewhere, the desaturated, sepia look that you are going for is perfect for them.  They could almost fit into Upsheet Creek, which is a good thing in my book :)

I really am dying to see these finished, even more so than the Eldar.  Apart from the original set painted by GW I dont recall ever seeing the lot of them together and painted anywhere else.  Asslessman has made a good start on a set and once you have yours done I will be scouring them both to see what ideas I can nick ;)

ooh another corner of the web your making in your image Pablo. Very nice (that eldar dred is very tidy), and the new necromunda gang looks great. Send em down the mines of UpSheet Creek I say!

Cheers

Great to see The Biffta Company taking shape, Mason! I should get a better look at them in the flesh when we play in the week. I am sorry that my meagre technical skills preclude me from posting pictures of our games in the underhive of Sector 313 (fans of 8 Mile/Eminem will get that reference lol), but to be honest what with writing up games etc. my time's taken up anyhoo. Might get you to take a few pictures of your boys in action though mate ;).

The Biffta Company looking good  :). You should show some pics of your squats as they are gorgeous 8).

Bert

PS - unrelated, sorry, but did anyone else who went to Salute today think it felt especially crowded this year??? I found it pretty unpleasant to be honest. :(

Cheers, mate.
Thoroughly enjoying the campaign, it is good to resurrect an old favourite.
Hopefully the Biffta Company will be finished in the next couple of days.
Fingers crossed.

All this recent talk of 'Munda, and even getting a couple of games in, has given my mojo a real lift, to the point where I would like to add a few more things to my own collection.
I have even started to create a few of my own.
(I should be doing something else, but you know how it is..... ::)).

I have begun with my own version of a Ratskin Scout.
Still WIP, but getting there...

I am trying to keep the figure a little more generic compared to a GW Ratskin as, although they do have a certain characterful feel to them, some of them seem a little dwarfed by their ratty cloaks.

I have also started on a Scaly, but that is still a way down the line yet...

I really like this! Definite Last of the Mohicans feel about him. As you say looks suitably different from GW's ratskins, too. Can't wait to see the scaly!

Yep, you guessed right, Iroquoian type look for this fella.

Here is another one, as I added a little to him earlier whilst finishing off some VBCW ladies...

I shall take a piccie of it at the moment, mate.

That Ratskin is looking absolutely great, you have become quite the dab hand at the sculpting Mason.

My own trashy preference would be for a few more techy, sci-fi trappings on the guy: he looks like a repurposed historical figure to me.  Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I like a bionic limb/eye, tricorder on belt approach when I sci-fi up my fantasy/historical figs.

Of course, the main thing that I am looking forward to seeing is those lovely old Iron Claw Pirates/Mercs.  I am really interested to see how they turn out.

Just gotta get the right proportions in there first.

They are slowly coming along.
My painting mojo comes and goes and I have been trying to pin it down this week, but cannot hold it for long.

Well, just for you then.....

As you can see it is still, very much, WIP, but coming along nicely.....well, I am happy with it so far.
