Thanks, chaps.
Much appreciated.
 :D

It may have been a tortuous process, but the results are great! I don't think I've seen a fully painted set outside of the catalogue pages before.

It really is a relief to finally get them done, mate.
I have had most of them for about ten years or so when I bought a job lot ebay and spent the last couple of years picking up the rest.
Thanks to those that helped me pick up the last few here on the LAF.
 :D

top notch Stuff Paul, very interesting take on the metallic Parts  :-* ;D

Thanks, Damiel.
I am glad that you noticed.
I just thought that I would go for something a little different.
 :)

The half ghost in the back is an I teresting choice. What's his story?

He is meant to be the psyker of the group.
The white effect is supposed to represent the light emenating from his staff, kind of like OSL but plain white/green.
Not sure if it really worked but I am not messing around with him any more now.

Here he is with a few figures that are not from the IC range, but that I thought would work well with the group....

The servitor is an Olley sculpt, so he fits in just fine.
Not sure who sculpted the 'Imperial Psyker' but he fits in as my ships navigator and the RT Inquisitor figure is the Rogue Trader/Captain, Mr Biffta.

That's some fancy painting, I like the colour scheme. It's so nice to see these, the servitor was one of the first sci-fi figures I remember seeing.

Thanks, chaps.
 :)

Finally getting these off the paint table and into the cabinet has encouraged me to get on with some more RT stuff, but what to do??

Marines, Orcs, Adventurers or maybe even those Eldar that I began this thread with....?
Hmmmm....

Cheers, mate.
I will probably start a new gang for the next campaign, though.
Run them alongside the ABC Warriors and use these boys for some RT gaming.
 ;)

Probably these, as they are suitably attired for the subject...

...with a little rebasing, of course.

The pictures of the rest of the crew...

And the command crew again....

Not the greatest paint jobs ever but I am happy enough with them especially as they were all painted at once.

 :D

I am happy with how the weapons came out as that was an experiment that seemed to pan out well.
There are quite a few rough elements to the Pirates that I know that I should have done better but all in all I am happy with them.
This way they should at least see some 'game-time' in the near future, rather than languishing in the leadpile.
 :D

I have started on the Eldar that are at the beginning of this thread and am again trying something completely different to what I would consider my 'normal' approach to things.
Fingers crossed that it works.
 ::)

I may even be getting my figure painting mojo back.

Here is the first of those Eldar that began this thread.

I thought I would begin by painting less at once this time, just in case it took me another few months to finish them if I do too many....like with the Space Pirates... ::)

So, bearing that in mind, four have all been taken up to the point where they just need tidying before basing.
I aim to finish one each day to keep me ticking over with these and not burning out.
Tis a delicate thing, my figure painting mojo.
I do not want to scare it off.....

First up to be finished is the Ghost Warrior....

As for the different approach mentioned earlier, I normally avoid loud colour schemes but thought that I would try something different with these.

Very loud, I assume that's the perfect camoflauge for a planet like Pandora. ;)

Looking great. I enjoy seeing these old miniatures painted well, as many are not even on my radar of what's out there.

Cheers

Cheers, Bertie.
Not the best paintjob ever but I am happy with it.
It would probably have come out a lot better if I had stripped it first, of course... ::)

I love those Ghost Warriors and have just gotten my hands on another now so that will be in this band too.

I also managed to finish another this afternoon due to the mad downpour that we had.
Normal warrior fella this time....

Again, it is a little rough but he looked ok to the naked eye when I was colouring him in.

The first two together....

I reckon that they should look quite striking when they are all done in their garish livery.
 ;)

Another Eldar Pirate... (Rogue Traders) UD:24/08
« Reply #134 on: 24 August 2015, 09:12:58 PM »
If nothing else, this rain we are getting here seems to have allowed me to crack on with these a littel as I have managed to finish another one.

Another classic RT sculpt that I stuck some putty to and showed pictures of earlier in the thread....

I am happier with this one.
Hopefully I am getting better with practise.
 ;)
