Inquisimunda first game pics... (Rogue Traders) UD:24/10
« Reply #150 on: 24 October 2015, 02:19:55 AM »
ooh you clever sausage, modular sci-fiation of Sheet Creek, now that has my attention.

I have not had time to 'transform' the buildings properly, but when I do the 'extras' that will make them appear more sci-fi will all be removable.
 ;)

We did however utilise the Old West buildings as they are to create a frontier world settlement for the first game of our Inquisimunda campaign.
With addition of a few vehicles and droids it passed muster for the time being.
The pictures that were taken later on all proved useless, but here are a few shots of the table at the start of the game....

I shall try and sort out better shots next time along with any more suitable additions that will be used as they are made.

The railway line has been replaced with a Creek!
That looks good.

I wonder if something like the Mad Mecha Guy monorail would work in this setting?

The monorail would be a wonderful modern intrusion here. But then, it will work in any post modern/sci-fi setting, superb model and a great guy to deal with.

Great multi-use of great terrain Paul.   8)

Cheers, Steve.
I intend to use it for several other settings as well in future.
Gotta make it pay for its upkeep, thats my reckoning.
 ;)

The railway line has been replaced with a Creek!
That looks good.

I commissioned the river sections from Sundayhero on here.
Very nice generic piece of terrain.
Highly recommended.

Do I spot Brian's mum poking around?

You do indeed, along with a few other residents of the Creek.
 :D

I do already have the parts needed for a futuristic 'train' that I intend to make in future.
It should see plenty of use in all sorts of futuristic games when it is finished.
 ;)

Poking around who?

 lol
Anywhere and everyone, that is what she does.
 ;)

That works well mate 8)

Cheers, mate.

I have slowly been squirrelling away some old classic Citadel Rogue Trader figures for a venture back into the 41st Millennium with the intention of doing some small scale skirmishing using the RT rules and the original ideas before the whole system went crazy.

I intend doing small ship's crews, Inquisitorial retinues, Necromunda gangs, mercenaries, pirates, salvage crews, single squads etc without going off into 'army' territory.

Damn Paul, just saw this and have been doing the same thing for about four years now... I'll say it again, I like what you like... How big are you doing the squads, I was aim for 8-12...

You do!

As for squads: No real min-max or target apart from when I get to the Marines which will be standard 5-man combat squad sized.
Just getting the figures together that I like and adding what I think works.
For example, the Space Pirates are about 20 strong as I used the 17 IC Pirates and added a few more Olley sculpts as they fit in nicely.

You should have seen the rest of the pictures.
I did take quite a few.
These were the only ones where you tell what things actually are!

Ooh! Can't wait to see photos of that. I love the idea of terrain that "transforms" for different settings.
