 Hi guys

Revisiting my 1/72 21st Pz Div in Normandy project, I’ve moved on starting my Aufklärungsabteilung (recon detachment) of the panzer-aufklärungs-abteilung 21, these are almost finished, just need to base them, everything is 3D printed, I think it’s almost time to take the whole unit out for some pics and to get a sense of where I am at with the project, next up on my personal painting desk are some Luftwaffe jagers for my Luftwaffe field division project.

Fantastic work 👌 Always happy to see 21st Panzer in Normandy, as that's the unit I'm modeling my Germans after(although in 15mm). Looking forward to see the whole army on parade!

They are 3D printed by myself, the sdkfz 250/9 neu files are from night sky, the others are free files that I have slightly converted.

 Hi guys

I’m in the mood to do a WWII Soviet project, I have a few on my to do list, but I’ve narrowed it down to either naval marine rifles or assault pioneers, as both these have been on the shelf of shame for years, so I pulled them out to compare them and get a feel for which I would prefer to get back into. I’m keep to get back into the marines, however there is more work in this project, the Pegasus figures are all wearing square rig, and I want a mix of pea jacket, square rig, and striped tee shirts, so I decided to go with the assault pioneers, there’s still a lot of work as I intend not to have any duplicate poses. Figures used will be Mars Russian assault troops, Orion Soviet assault group, and AB and Zvezda Soviet scouts.

 Hi guys

I managed to paint 2 sections of Jagers for my Luftwaffe field division project, the project is loosely  based on the 16th Luftwaffe field division, which is a companion project for the 21st Pz Div, they fought side by side in Normandy, and were merged together after the battle, but I also want them to be able to represent any of the various division, by Normandy, due to the very poor performance of these divisions, (which was mainly due to poor training, morale and equipment, they were very weak divisions, for instance their recon battalion was an under strength unit of bicycle troops) control had been handed over to the Heer, and the field blue uniforms were being replaced by field grey, so there was a mix of field blue and field grey items, however I have gone for the more idealistic look of Luftwaffe field blue uniforms to stand them apart from Heer troops. Due to the uniform colour, they relied heavily on camouflaged items and painted their helmets.
