Just a quick update (to clear all the cobwebs from this topic, lol), with my new Dropship ;)

It's a Cobra Gunship toy from the new GI Joe movie. It's rather cheap and it's futuristic enough for my tastes. I'll take some pics with 28mm figures  :D

Great stuff, what did you use for the Sgt in carapace? regular power armor with no cuting?

My army is a commission by a friend of mine (i don't have enough talent to paint/convert like that) so I'm not really sure how he did it. But here's a WIP picture that he sent me when working on that fig:

Apparently it's a Space Marine torso and legs with Cadian arms and head...I think, lol

After several years of trying to improve my painting, I decided that my money would be better spent on good quality work by someone who could paint, lol. Never looked back on that decision  :D

I suspect tinfoil is too thin. Instead, I would suggest you check out some of those soft metallic food packaging tubes that certain kinds of spreads etc. come in. Clean them out and cut them up into sheets. I've never tried it myself but I have seen it used to great effect by other modellers.
in teutonia tomato paste, mustard, remoulade
old glue tubes

where is that scout car from??

The scout is a Halo Warthog from McFarlane Toys. Good conversion fodder ;)

Oh, beautiful isn't it? Another fine reason why I believe this is the best miniatures forum the world over. :)

I will try some of those food wrappers. My good old grandfather buys these cheese wedges (it's a cart wheel of several kinds of cheeses) and they're individually wrapped, those might work. I think I still have several tubes of Testors model glue that has been left for dead that might work with some effort put into washing out the old glue.
