Completed the main body of the tank - no fancy changes there, just a bolter for the driver - and added some stuff to the turret:

Tomorrow I'll add the sponsons, dozer blade...and paint it, lol.

I spent the afternoon working on the tank but I'm not going to be able to paint it today - it's getting dark and I can't paint inside the house  :-/

Anyway, here's how it looks right now, with all the stuff glued down (I'll add stowage after paiting):

Just had time to do a quick black undercoat:

Right now I'm really happy with the Mini-Vulcan and plan on working on it some more. This is how it stands right now:

From Chaos Black to Panzer Grey (I just love those Tamiya spraycans)

Spent the afternoon painting and weathering the tank. Here's how it stands:

I certainly see the rust, but it seems to me that the tank is still in the bare primer. Maybe it was lighting, or the paint is dark/black? I can say with certainty it's not my eyes, however. :)

It's a trick of the light, lol. The tank is now grey and black. I don't have a digital camera, so I use the camera on my phone :\

Maybe this one will look better (it was taken during the afternoon, with direct sunlight):

It took me all of the afternoon, but I finally painted my Karack Zar (aka Lizards with Guns) from BaggageTrain. As you can see by the pictures, I can't paint worth a damm  :-X  I use primer, I thin the paints, I use washes, etc... and the final result is always lame to say the least...

I really liked the figures, but there are some parts that are very hard to paint because you can't access them (the arms are always molded on). They are shiny 'cause the Future wash that I applied was still wet.

And I still have 100 metal Cadians to paint... :o

I did not know of these lizardmen, or this Baggage Train for that matter. I think I like them from what I can see.

When taking your pictures perhaps try placing them on a white sheet that curves up off the surface onto something in the background. That allows the background to be blank and can avoid having any reflective surfaces interfering with the picture. Plenty of light is also good. I haven't a proper picture box myself, but a section of bed sheet and the multiple lamps and main light bulbs of my room work well despite the lack of natural light. Also make sure your camera has the correct filter on when dealing with the light. Different bulbs have their own ambient colour which can also reduce the picture quality, and the paint work present on the figure. Never rely on the camera's flashlight. It can make the image seem more flat than you may like.

I believe that Hammers and some others have put pinned/stickied threads on tackling this subject in the workbench section of the forum if you would want more tips.
