Just put the finishing touches on this guy today. The Boss for my greenskin contingent.

This is a promo figure for the ill-fated Warhammer Online video game. Had him on my painting table for a very long time, but he's a real pain to paint up. I remember this figure getting a fair bit of flak, because he's so static and chunky. While that's true, there's something very characterful about him and his pet Grot, so I decided to use him in my Quest project. On a 40mm base, however, he's a real beast!

Obligatory rear view for the completionists, although he's a bit boring from the back:

The Big Green Guy & his equally Green if somewhat smaller Associate are BEAUTIFULLY painted creations. VERY WELL DONE!

I actually really like the model. GW Orcs are meant to be chunky.
It has the right ammount of detail for a character model, though I understand it's a doozy to paint.
And you did a cracking job on it.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. I'm currently assembling a horde of Skaven and a few more minor gribblies - I'm so close to having the base set finished now, plus a load of add-ons, that I'm inspired to get back into the thick of the project.

In the meantime, however, I've repurposed a model from my other big obsession of the moment - Zombicide: Black Plague! Baldric the Wizard is now one of my Warhammer Quest Wizards. Not sure I like painting this bendy plastic tbh, but I'm happy with how he turned out.

End-result certainly is nice!

Makes a good heroic character. They might make a good adventuring party for skirmish games as well, I imagine.

Well done. I had considered painting my Black Plague stuff but after receiving it have decided otherwise.

Yeah, I'm definitely not going to paint the whole set. I hate the bendy plastic (it's really hard to clean up). Some of the sculpts are... iffy. With a few exceptions, the detail really isn't great. So I went on eBay and managed to get a spare Baldric, and one of each type of zombie so I could do some test paints rather than break into my Kickstarter set. This is why I decided not to paint the rest!

Here are the other test models I did. I like them, but not enough to paint any more of em, and they definitely don't work for Warhammer Quest.

Thinking of using that Abomination as a Possessed in Mordheim though!

Someone give him a piece of candy.

I think someone did: that's why he's only got one tooth left.

It's quite some painting that can stand up to such an extreme close-up, psyberwyche.
Back from the dead, almost.

Love that model. I have one laying about for some years as well. When I was working on my Orcs and Goblins I had to have that specific model.
Lovely work on it, as usual. The lip really makes him come to life.
